Considering Westcott or Readylift 2.5 lift/level kit. Anyone have issues? (Geometry, premature wear, noises?) What tire sizes did you get? Pics?

I Actualy really like those rims you have on your setup. Are those 285/70/18 no lift? Happy? what are you running for a spare?

They are 285/70r18 on the 2024+Tacoma TRD rim. No lift, no rub on or offroad. Running a 275/70r18 for a spare, as the 285 would not fit, and my 'guy' assured me that two slightly different-sized tires would not be a problem for limited (emergency) driving.

I have the Westcott lift with SCS FA16 17x8.5 285/70/17 in bronze. I have hit trails, towed, everything with my lift. No issues or complaints at all. I have seen a lot of the TRD pro stock suspension online for cheap. I’ve been thinking about using the Westcott collar lift I have and the TRD struts for a hybrid lift but haven’t pulled the trigger yet.

Looking at doing a 2.5 lift/level either Wescott or Readylift. Primarily for looks, and bigger tires, but we do go offraod and overland, so the extra clearance from bigger tires will be nice too. Either way I want it functional. I wont be rock crawling this right now so we don't need anything to support that. Both are essentially spacer lifts and have concerns about geometry, component wear, Or noises that aren't fun to hear? TLDR, Did you get one? are you happy? What size tires did you throw on? what would you do differently?

I have the ReadyLift 2.5 installed, OEM wheels, with KO3’s the total height is 78” from the ground to top of antenna. I have had no issues, no different noises etc. I like the feel of just that much taller when you jump in.

I just kept the factory spare as a donut. I don’t do far off the grid 4 wheeling- just hunting- so could easily get back to a place to replace a tire. I did not have to trim anything for the 35’s. Did move a wiring bracket or something via some videos to inside frame. Can’t remember exactly what it was. I think Ed Martin Toyota has 2 videos on moving it on YouTube. I did try some 1” spacers with this setup and it rubbed, so took them right back off, so with these tires, you have to watch wheels/offset etc. I feel like I got a decent increase on ground clearance but never measured.

Any issues or complaints with these tires? I think these are my next purchase assuming they balance well.

No after 7000ish miles all is good. They are heavy and fuel economy tanked but I have 0 complaints outside that.
