Charlotte, NC (Rock Hill Toyota) Dealer Games BLOCKING the Land Cruiser Forum!

Same at my local dealer and one other I use, probably just blocking "media sites". When I disable WiFi and use data, the sites work.

Highly doubt this was a malicious thing against OP by the dealer. The likely blocked the url to keep their employees from scrolling forums during work hours, pretty common for employers to do this type of thing.
Well see here is the problem with your theory; which I will concede the dealer may block certain pages to avoid employees from accessing with the unintended consequence of guests also getting screwed. Personally, I would think more Facebook / YouTube, etc.

BUT, The Rock Hill Dealer has at least 2 (if not 3 or 4) wifi bands setup. There is one specifically "Guest" which does not have password, the others (which I would guess sales / employees/ etc access) is secured. Granted IF they were to block a forum for employees on said wifi, there is little to stop them from switching over to the guest to access a forum (something I may have done in a past life years ago because the office blocked eBay as a gambling site).

This explains why perfectly, just from an adjacent perspective. If employees have their own wifi channel (especially if they assumed it was moderated/monitored) they would inherently switch to the customer channel for non-professional web browsing. I personally do not, ever, link my phone to public wifi, but if I did I would definitely use the public access channel under a VPN if a professional/personal consideration warranted it.

So you hit the nail on the head with your retrospective thought.

So my Land Cruiser just rolled 15k and went in for the service at Rock Hill Toyota. Anyways after being checked in, the advisor said that "Toyota recommends having an alignment done every 15k. I then inquired if that was Toyota's Recommendation or the dealer's which she promptly replied it was Toyota's.

This is the first Toyota, but my many subaru never needed an alignment every 15k and my wife's 2 X Chevy's as well. Sometimes when we get new tires we will get an alignment depending on the wear but every 15k?! So after going to the business office I look at the toyota manual and see nothing about a 15k alignment in the service schedule.

So, I thought I would check on the Land Cruiser Forum wondering if anyone else had these games from Toyota only to find out I can not access the Land Cruiser Forum. Strange?! So I change my computer from the dealer wifi and tether to my iphone and amazingly the site works. Back to dealer wifi, the forum is down. Back to iphone tether, no issues.
Alignments only with new tires/issues.... refuse, and consider new dealer if you have one convenient....

Did you check your service guide? It clearly states what Toyota requires....
