I have searched through the manual and various forums, including keyword searches for any reasonable variations of "Accelerator Pedal," "throttle," "kick-down," and "Wide-open." Admittedly, this is probably a fairly dumb question unworthy of a dedicated thread. Yet I am curious, and unafraid of asking dumb questions in lieu of just not knowing.

I have been messing around with my LC's driver's seat position all week. I have a really bad back so this is an important thing for me, and I thought I had it dialed in over the course of the last week, but then my 5-foot nothing wife got in and... well, you know. Last night I was back at it, working it back and forth, up and down, testing pedal travels, when I noticed that the accelerator pedal has a definitive mechanical response near the end of pedal travel. This is not something I would ever find during operation since I drive like a grandpa 99% of the time. My assumption is that it is just a WOT setpoint with a lot of haptic feedback. It is more significant than any I have ever felt before, and my wife's 2025 Sequoia does not have a similar pedal response.

Educate me please. Is it as simple as a very noticeable kick-down/WOT?

I have felt what you’re talking about but have never pushed the pedal that far. This could be an emergency override in case the pedal fails.
