1958 folks.. regrets?

Personally didn't want to spend the extra $$$ for the next trim up from the 1958. Dealer installed brown leather seats + a westcott roof rack too and charged a pinch off MSRP which left me little choice ;). My philosophy has been that I want to modify my car into my own...its what had me interested in a LC/4Runner/GX in the first place!

So far I've been very happy with it. Honestly my only complaint is the lack of soft leather on the driver's side door.....but I'll take care of that some day.

No regrets - In late 2024 I specifically chose the 1958 vs the LCLC because of several factors, but most especially the lack of the skylight. I have had them before and 1) rarely used them and 2) they have always leaked at some point. I like the round headlights and like the Meteor Shower color. I test drove both. The cost difference was minimal and while having a front camera might have been useful, I can live without it. Also the dealer had already installed Katskin leather seats, which I like.

You got a picture? Is it covers or full on seats?
This is the best that I have on my phone. Can get a better pic later. They are the Mocha brown Katskinz perforated leather seats. The dealer has a shop they use and that shop did a great job....they look nearly OEM in terms of wrinkling.

No regrets here after nearly a year and 8200mi. There are a couple things about the vehicle I wish were different, but aren’t unique to the 1958:

1) Gas tank is too small. It’s silly. It should be 5 gal larger. Range should've been at least 400 mi at 20 mpg.
2) There should be a 12V power supply in the back in addition to the AC 120V.

A few 1958 specific things I did not think would bother me but I catch myself occasionally wishing it had:

1) Heritage Blue or Trail Dust. I knew from the beginning these colors were my preference, but was/am happy with Meteor Shower. Still, I would've preferred one of these colors and every time I see them I do wish one (or... Fashion Green!) had been available on the 1958.
2) Power liftgate. I actually was happy about the manual liftgate, but I have found that while holding a toddler, touching the button to close is a nice feature. Definitely a nice-to-have.
3) Sway-bar Disconnect Mechanism. Honestly, probably wouldn't use it all that much (in a year I've gone offroad twice, both in the last couple months). But, it is just a cool feature I remember from the 2016 4Runner TRD Pro, retrofit seems involved, and I just really wish it had been included.
4) The better fog lights. They're cool.

Things I didn't even think about at the time (or notice), but now have noticed after living with the vehicle and wish that the 1958 had.

1) The slightly wider wheel arches - not that big of a deal, but I do wish the 1958 came with them. I suspect at some point I'll be able to score a set from someone upgrading the regular trim OR the aftermarket will deliver a suitable alternative at a reasonable price.
2) The hardness of the plastic on the arm rests. I do think at some point I might swap out the door cards on all four doors. Will just have to see what the cost comes out to be.

Things I thought I would miss but actually do not miss at all:

1) The larger screen. Do not care at all, it is perfectly fine. 8" was a big screen like five years ago.
2) Cooled seats. The fabric is a better solution.

Things that I knew I would've hated and am glad I didn't have to deal with finding a LC LC without them.

1) Sunroof. All of the headroom in the 1958 is amazing. Sunroof free is the way to go.
2) Leather or Vinyl seats. I've always preferred fabric seats.
3) 20" wheels. The industry wide upsizing of wheels is stupid.
