I've followed a similar path and after two months of constant pestering them, the local Toyota dealership has my windshield in stock. In addition to engaging in the ordinary claim process and working with the "troubleshooter" (I use that term lightly), I also requested and initiated the Toyota buyback process. When I spoke to the CEO's minion, it was on a recorded line, and I mentioned the buyback process. She attempted to frame that part of the discussion in the standard verbiage about evaluating my claim in the context of "my state's lemon law". What seemed to prompt some action was my stating that I don't believe this is a state lemon law issue, rather it is a failure to disclose at time of purchase lack of parts, which, if I had known at the time of purchase, I wouldn't have purchased the vehicle. Now, I'm stuck with a car I technically can't sell, and technically can't drive. Anyway, might be worth a run.I've been in touch with Toyota CEO's trouble shooter for two months. I've come to the opinion that no one in Toyota knows when these windshields will be available. I've had a cracked windshield for 3 months and now my LC is due for state inspection. Unacceptable situation by Toyota.
