Wifi/Carplay/AA/Toyota Subscriptions

Since winter is over and I use remote start only when my LC has sat outside in 90s+ heat most of day I have found a "faster" way to re-activate Carplay after a remote start. I power off my iPhone. Reboot the main display (hold volume button in until the screen blanks and resets), power my phone on, and then the small Carplay icon re-appears on the top of the icon stack on the left side of the screen. Inconvenient, but for cold winter mornings to get the LC warmed up, or cooled in extreme heat, worth it. At least until, or if ever, a software fix comes out.
That’s a lot of work to do when all you have to do is go into the menu and flip it back on under use for Apple CarPlay. See attachment.

From experience, sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn’t. It’s been hit or miss.
Same here, it worked for me for a month or two, then never again.

My service tech talked to her manager who drives an LC and uses CarPlay. He said what works for him is just resetting the main screen, then wait about a minute and it will reconnect. So far, that did work for me once. I will keep trying it.
