I’m kind of side tracking my own thread here, but how do you like your Maxxis tires? I’m a little amazed at how light weight they are. I might need to give them a try.I have the SCS FA16 17x8.5 -10 and Maxxis Razor AT are coming in at 64.99lbs so roughly 7.1lbs lighter than stock
Sorry I didn’t mean to side track the post. I was just giving an example to they are indeed one of the lighter options.I’m kind of side tracking my own thread here, but how do you like your Maxxis tires? I’m a little amazed at how light weight they are. I might need to give them a try.
oh you didn't side track the thread, I did! haha. Thanks for the info. I'm gonna order a set and see how they are. I'm currently running terra grappler g3's at 48lbs with 22lb SCS wheels and the acceleration and gas mileage has definitely taken a small hit. I guess this will be a little bit of an experiment. Hopefully it works out!Sorry I didn’t mean to side track the post. I was just giving an example to they are indeed one of the lighter options.
I was skeptical since it’s not a tire I’ve used. I watched a bunch of reviews for the Razor and the M/T tire on YouTube. Everything they said seems to match up.
Overall Aggressive look while still falling into a quiet A/T. They are slightly louder than the factor Geolanders but, nothing crazy noticeable. I’ve tried them in every weather condition other than snow and they have handled flawlessly. Best part is no noticeable hit on mpg. With the 33 and a 2.5 lift I’m still in the 20’s the majority of the time.

What wheels are you running. I went with the FA16 for the retro look. I’ve been very impressed with the SCS wheel. If the Maxxis Does well in the snow it may be a new go to. Especially since the A/T is only 165ish a tire.oh you didn't side track the thread, I did! haha. Thanks for the info. I'm gonna order a set and see how they are. I’m running blaze 10 17x8.5 +20. My first choice would’ve been your fa16’s if the +20 was lighter weight. Great looking wheels. I’m being overly weight conscious as this LC is my daily driver and I’ve already done the 11-13mpg thing in my lifted 5th gen 4runner on 34’s. I don’t really want to do that againWhat wheels are you running. I went with the FA16 for the retro look. I’ve been very impressed with the SCS wheel. haha crazy how close the -10 and +20 look. I would recommend them for sure. They have been a great tire so far. I’m thinking about adding the trd car back and upgrading the FMIC and intake when sxth element releases it. I feel like the LC250 seems restricted to a degree compared to the other variants (Taco, 6 Gen) I watched a video from R4T with Dyno results. With no tune it showed great results. Opening up the LC250 will definitely help improve performance and in turn improve fuel economy just try to stay out of boostI’m running blaze 10 17x8.5 +20. I’m considering Volks now just to try and go as light as possible tho. I was looking at 18” wheels to try out the Toyo at3 EV tires but these Maxxis are very tempting
I haven’t driven the new Tacomas or 4runner. My wife didn’t want to test drive the 4runner because she said it was uglyEven on

I think the 18s are a little heavier but still lighter than most options. Definitely a solid tire especially for the price!I have 275/70/18 razr at’s on mine and get about 17.7 mpg lol. Love the tires though. Looking to get rays 08x probably in matte gunbronze. I was thinking 18x8.5 et44z
Your tires are much heavier than the p285/70/17 tires we are talking about. These only weigh 44lbs each. Yours are much much heavier LT E load rating. That should look nice. I went with -10 on mine because I wanted little more aggressive stance. I have the NYTOP fender flares ordered just waiting on the Matte Black FRP to ship.
I wasn't aware there were non E rated maxxis razr in that size. Anyway it's why I want rays wheels lol.Your tires are much heavier than the p285/70/17 tires we are talking about. These only weigh 44lbs each. Yours are much much heavier LT E load rating. Same same, but different.
That said, your gas mileage isn’t bad considering larger tires and that much heavier. I just filled up and it calculated to 17.7 and I’m on Terra grappler G3’s that are smaller and 10 lbs lighter. Good ol Cali gas……
