Who is running 703’s with 285/75/17’s? I’d like to see pictures and hear if any rubbing issues without lift. 35mm offset.

Yes, I agree and have made that point before even if not well here. But I was happy to remove the flaps and air dams for purely aesthetic reasons as I think they are ugly AF.

Do you have a pic of your rig with the wheels/tires and no lift? Thinking about getting Black Rhinos w/275s or 285s no lift. What model BR did you go with?

I have the Toyo ATIII 285/75/17 on 17” Black Rhinos with 25mm offset and no trimming was required. I had previously removed the mudflaps and air dam as I think they look ugly so don’t know if those could remain with this tire setup.

Do you have a lift? I do not, and have the LC trim and am going for this exact setup. Toyo ATIII 285/75/17 on 17” Icon Recon SLX with 25mm offset - on order, wondering if I will have to trim or make mods at this offset...

I have 2.5” spacers and there is no rubbing even fully articulated. However, I removed the mudflaps and air dams even before the new wheels so not sure if you could leave those on. I love this setup.

Ah, can’t remember the brand of the spacers. Not Westcott, which is great, but I don’t think it matters for spacers that only serve a limited, non-performance function. FYI, the poke is only 1/4” even though that pic might make it look larger. I’m happy with how mine turned out and the Toyos beat the crap out of the stock Michelin garbage it came with, even on pavement.

Just got 285/75/r17 for mine... can't wait to get those on. Arrive in about 2 weeks. I have the LC250 FE '24 in Heritage Blue and putting 17x8.5 Vintage White Wheel Nomad Field N504VW 6x5.5 +35 on it. Really hoping the white wheel matches the white roof (which I feel is a lil offwhite)

Is going from 285/70 r17 to 285/75 r17 that noticeable of an upgrade in size? I’m wanting to with sl load to save on weight and smoother ride + a daily driver. But as soon as you jump to 285/75 it would be lt c load at 8+ lbs a corner plus’s stiffness.

It's actually a very light grey, if you measure it (i.e. more of a neutral/almost bluish, rather than the 'warm' an off-white would be).

I went with 285/70 in sl load. Wanted light as possible to daily driver and I don’t tow! Very happy with the upgrade!!

Love it! It looks like it’s lifted but is that just because the suspension hadn’t settled back down right after the install? How do you like the ride quality/noise for street and highway so far compared with stock?

No lift. Potentially interested in bilstein 5100 (just released for Land Cruiser) or westcott. I find it looks higher without running boards honestly 10:10 happy. Very quiet, smooth and tracks better on highway. Feels more planted. Did a lot of research and happy with my choice

I put 275's on mine. I don't know how you could go bigger without removal or trimming of air dams/related plastic as these just clear everything. Absolutely no rubbing and the spare fits.

285/75/r17 fit without trimming.

Let's compare the Toyo ATIII in 35x12.5 and 285/75 both for 17" wheel. I have some Method 17x8.5 +35 offset wheels in LC trim.

Initially I wanted 285/75R17 which is available in the Toyo ATIII in C-load. I've seen some pics where it looked good but then realized it's on the 1958 trim, where the plastic fenders are about 1cm narrower. Got me thinking maybe I want the +25 offset instead. Thus, I was thinking of going a wider tire to compensate for that...and I saw the 35x12.5 is also available in C-load as well as E.

Then comparing these 2 sizes, they're practically the same weight. Despite the same weight, a larger tire will have slightly more moment of inertia due to the mass being further from the center.

The 35" has 35 max PSI vs 50 so it probably would be less durable. I wonder if it's the exact same tire and materials but they slightly stretched it a bit.

That comes to the last question. Having a 12.5" width compressed to a 8.5" sounds like it may make it look a bit balloony and maybe affect the wear negatively? I would've guessed a 9.0" wheel width would be best for this width. Not sure if it'll make a noticeable differenceView attachment 18783View attachment 18787

285/75 is a 34" tire, FYI.
