What's the verdict?
He hasn’t been seen out here since 12/12/24 when he posted that. I had messaged him a while back to get an update and got no response.
That company still doesn’t have any photos of someone installing them successfully on ours vehicle. I’ve chatted with their support, trying to get a better feeling about making the purchase, but they didn’t give me any confidence.
I'm considering this option for now for the rental camper I'm getting for an upcoming trip It's completely wiress and charged by solar. Plus the mount is magnetic so you can just pop it off when you are done with the camper. I'll just have to remember to pop it off when I leave it parked somewhere or risk it walking off with some help from unsavory person.
So, this particular item was a big fail for me. Others might work but this one kept either freezing or completely losing the signal about once a minutes. Every time the signal was lost I was worried the damn thing had fallen off. I shut it down after just 20 minutes as it was worse than useless.
FYI, I was towing an 18 foot camper so the total distance from camera to monitor should have been something less than 30-35 feet. This was supposed to work "up to 56 feet".
That being said, I was able to get by with the stock mirrors and craning my neck.
I am having the same issue. No aftermarket extentions fit and I have tried 3 types. They move when the vehicle goes on dirt roads or shift on the freeway. I am worried about tightening them further as it was marking and bending the stock mirrors. I did buy the Pemacom magnetic camera off of amazon and I move it from my 2006 LR3 to the 2025 Land Cruiser and it works great. I have used it for 5 months now, I tow a 16 foot travel trailer and its width is the same as the vehicle. The issue is that it is not legal to tow without the mirrors in some places I go. The camera works but fast moving cars approaching from the side lanes are difficult to see. The safest and most reasonable fix is to get stock mirror extentions. So PLEASE when anyone hears that mirrors are available from Clearview or anywhere else please post!
I more or less gave up on the mirrors. We have decided to go with a teardrop trailer (we had been seriously considering a 21 footer fiberglass from Escape). But I was not feeling so great about the safety/mirror situation (and the never ending tariff situation). Anyway, my thinking given the trailer profile, is we’ll be fine.

Thanks for the response. I will stick with the flimsy extensions I have until they will they ship from Clearview to the U.S. The angle of the pic makes the trailer look huge but its 16', and it tows fine. It took some time to get the trailer brake setting to work but once I figured out all of the quirks (which the dealership was unsure how to do--they don't get a lot of towing questions so this forum is awesome) it towed well. I used the magnetic trailer camera (Pemcam) and mounted the screen near the shifter with double stick (Alien) tape I bought off Amazon and that works for now. Good luck and get that doggo camping!

Agree. Get outside. I have a 21 Escape but would never pull it with my LC. My 17 Chevy Duramax pulls it well enough. May be overkill. Chevy came with pullout mirrors so visibility never an issue.
