Thorton Tuning

I ordered a Thorton Tuning chip for my 2024 LC about six months ago. Thorton advertised 60 hp increase and a five mile per gallon increase. None of this happened. In fact, I removed my chip while I was fueling the rig last week and guess what, my fuel economy increased. Not to the advertised 23 mph combined by Toyota, however. Has anyone had any experience with these Thorton Tuning chips?

I’m just curious why the opposite would happen when removed and was wondering if anyone has any ideas on this.
