This is such a quick and easy upgrade. It gives you the extra lighting needed for the cargo area. Here is an install video to walk you through the process.

I bought essentially the same part from Amazon, although it seems to be a different Seller and only the Bright White is sold there. It is very bright and very white, useful if camping or if you need some serious illumination. I likely would have ordered the warm white had I seen this part available.

I just ordered this in warm white. Really need light back there, and the install video looked simple enough that even an idiot like me can do it…and I got a shipping notice within an hour or so.

We saw that there was a need for a light there, and it is a pretty awesome upgrade. There were quite a few people that requested that the light match the rest of the interior lights. We were happy we were able to make that happen. We're bummed we didn't get it produced quickly enough for your purchase. There are people that prefer the whiter light. Maybe you can sell your old one, or trade with someone.

Ha! I'm positive you're far from an idiot, but it probably will be one of the easiest installs you can do to your Land Cruiser.

I have a 2025 version with the two little liftgate lights that cannot be turned off, I can't wait for someone to come up with a mod for these so we can turn them off besides shoving something into the liftgate latch.

I have the early one that is dimmable bright white. I’m not a fan of that color temp but love that I can dim it. What I really want is a dimmable lift gate light that can also switch from warm white to red for night/camping use.

Already been done. Check out EOD's build thread. Slap some sound deadening while you have the cover off, supposed to help with the (pathetic) excuse for a subwoof back there.

Is there anything out there for a dimmable option on the First Edition's twin bright hatch lights?

I ordered yours to replace mine!
