Rear Shock Skid plate and trailing arm plate -- Victory, RCI

Above: before and after.
Beside OEM skid plates for engine and transmission, I did installed the RCI transfer case slid plate (alumn)
Today, just received skid plate (alumn) for lower control arms, and skid plate (steel) for rear differential.
Will install those this weekend.
RCI also will deliver me the fuel tank skid plate (alumn)
I do all kind of off-road occasionally, so those will serve my use well as great insurance (even though I am not doing crazy 9/10 rock crawling, but hit all hard trails if needed)
Consider weights, so I selected combination steel and alumn. Skid plates for where more and less priority

From your photos and Victory's photos, how do you get a wrench or socket inside of the plate for the lock nut?

Will it fit? Open ended wrench? Wera style ratchet wrench (Joker)?

Or tighten bolt from outside 'til it catches and torques down?

TIA

Man…for awhile I can’t remember in details”
Inside, there are “rectangular plates” (which are not moved when tight the bolts) so just tighten the bolts from outside with ratchet wrench. I was able to do that without remove tires. It is a bit awkward! As I remember, I had 2 lower bolts 1st then 2 upper ones after.

Should be easier if taking off tires.
Have fun with it ;)

Both front and rear lower link skid plates (3/16” steel) will be delivered to me tomorrow . Also the fuel tank skid plate (1/4” aluminum) just arrived.
I will share the photos of those after installation

These are the last 2 skid plates for my LC besides:
• OEM FE skid plates for engine+transmission
• RCI skid plate for transfer case (1/4” alum)
• RCI skid plate for lower control arms (1/4” alum)
• RCI skid plate for rear differential (3/16” steel)
• Victory4x4 skid plates for rear shock lower mount (3/16” steel)

Good to see the RCI Transfer Case Plate fits with the OEM Transmission plate.

From your photos and RCI photos, did you have to line up and drill holes on the RCI Transfer Case plate to be able to overlap at the cross member?

RCI's photos only show the slotted holes

The under armor looks great!

TIA

Yes. It doesn’t fit but we can modify it.
For transfer case plate, you need to drill the new hole. Please search and check my old post for more detail
Again, I add those old photos here for you:

Got the ASFIR trailing arm plates installed today.

Does anyone know what the cable/hose is (in red, photo attached). Kinda just hanging there, hope it's not a brake line. Feels like rubber. I hope while installing the rear diff plate that Toyota didn't forget to remount that hose. Looks like there's a hole in the frame, could possibly be a used to mount a hose bracket?

Thanks @t3lcfe for your photo and tutorial.

Got the Victory rear shock plates installed.

Toughest part was getting the bolt and nut threads to catch on the bottom, outside(towards the brakes).

Installing the top two bolts, then the 3rd bolt (bottom, brake side) made it easier. Tighten bolts by hand to adjust for the bottom outside bolt.

Also, having a ratchet open end wrench (1/2" socket) made tightening down bolts easier (the outside bolts (brake side).

I'm personally running the victory4x4 rear shock skid. While they're not necessary if you don't really plan on doing anything crawling/intermediate trails/offroad, I would definitely recommend them if you ever plan on doing any of the above. Your lower shock mounts will be the lowest hanging part of your vehicle at any given time. Take a bad line or get caught up on a rock and you could bang/scrape them up pretty bad, or even damage the lower shock mount bolt (personal experience on my 4r). Do a lot of desert running and you could run into pitting of the lower shock & shaft. These lower shock mounts are a cheap insurance, easy to install, and negligible when it comes to added weight.
How did you tighten the inside bolts? Just put them on today and struggling with clearance to tighten it.

Ahh I’ll need to get one of those wrenches then
