Question for you all:

After upgrading to First Edition mud flaps I now hear “flapping like” wind noise at highway speed. “Flapping” noise is subtle but present.

Has anyone else experienced this type of wind noise with their FE mud flaps?

If yes why?

I will either have my wife drive along side of the LC and watch the mud flaps at highway speed or set up a GoPro aimed at the mud flaps and film the mud flaps while I am on the highway.

I will post the outcome.

I have JAOS flaps and do not hear any "flapping". Did you try to adjust the tension belts? Might be they are too loose...

Miss Daisy’s FE mud flaps do not fap in the wind..

What are we reporting here

Last known good was pre-flap install. Post flap install we have flapping. For one reason or another, in the words of @RideWithYanu, your flaps be “flappin.”

On the serious side, the usual culprit on these FE flaps is the tension straps running a touch loose, like Viktor said, or one of the push pins not fully seated so the flap sits proud of the body and catches the air. A subtle flap at highway speed is almost always aerodynamic buffeting off the trailing edge rather than anything about to fall off. Snug the straps up a notch and it normally goes quiet.
