I have the Autel MaxiCOM MK900-BT which does about 98% of what the dealer can do. I also have the fiber optic scope and the battery tester along with it. Subscription required for advanced diagnostics otherwise it will only read the generic OBDII codes which may not reveal everything in todays world. First 2 years was free, then you have to pay for an subscription after that.
I also have an Xhorse Mini VCI J2354 standalone OBDII to USB cable (Laptop required) and can connect with the official Toyota software GTS+ (Subscription required). I probably have 1 to 2 ,3-day subscriptions per year.
The second option is the cheapest, but GTS+ is known to be quite slow just like tech stream was. This is why I also have the Autel, if I have to troubleshoot something more in-depth I move to the Autel because it is much faster and way more mobile.
I also have an old Actron CP 9185, that does quite well with the basic OBDII stuff and it can data log just like the others, but no special or hot functions for it
Toyota uses the J2534 communication protocal and their official cable is the Mongoose which is ~$540.00.
The official go-to for professional independents that specialize in Toyota is this, little much for DIY and who knows how long it would be supported?: Product - Toyota Tools and Equipment

If you are talking about a Bluetooth or WiFi OBDII reader to use with an app, I was going to order the Carista reader for use with Carista’s app. I tried one made by VeePeak that I already had from using JScan with my Jeep and found it worked with Carista just fine. Bonus for me, didn’t have to spend more to order a new reader.
I know many of the better stand alone scanners are very capable, so it really depends on what you want/need to do with the reader. I was able to enable and disable Toyota-specific adaptations, scan and clear codes with Carista. If I was doing serious work, the dedicated scan tool would probably pay for itself.

Thank you for your responses, im not sure that it has something to do that is a 2027 and maybe some of the scan tools haven’t updated yet to the 27 year. It should be the same software as prior years of the LC’s, but maybe is the vehicle year updates that im missing.
