It’s about $180 cheaper now and I ordered one, too. Been hovering on this for some time and finally convinced there is a well engineered option. I’m going to mount this while I also install a SXTH Element cold air intake. Excited about both and fully aware I need neither.

Mine arrived this week and just installed it today. Pretty straightforward but doing it on the ground it took me about two hours. Quality and fit are great. Sound is WAY different. Quite throaty at idle and under acceleration.

Great idea. A true break-in period for the system is around 800 miles.

Will update later but there is definitely drone at this point. Not sure how “break in” might change that but I hope it does. Love the sound from the outside but at this point ambivalent about the inside even though I have motorcycles with loud exhausts I installed and love. Stay tuned. I want to love this but it’s no longer a quiet cabin. I’ll have 800 miles on it by the end of the month and will share further thoughts. If I don’t love this going forward I will try something else like a Magnaflow. Sorry, not badmouthing AWE (great product overall) but I think the videos shared outside noise only (which is great) for a reason.

So reluctant to post something that might be considered negative for a super well built product but I do want to be clear and honest about it. We’ll see how it is going forward. The sound is what I expected. And the sound is fine, the drone is not. At this point I think that’s the only issue.

Every aftermarket exhaust that deepens the exhaust tones and increases the noises introduces drone at sustained speeds. It will have drone.

I think the question is ... can you live with it? I have different vehicles with aftermarket exhausts that improved performance and did not produce unfavorable lower frequency noise. I will wait to hear what Nor Cal Cruiser thinks after he has driven for a little longer before I decide to modify my exhaust.

I don't want to shoot too quickly here but around 200 miles in with one tank and liking it more. There is noise, which I like (and sought), and I think there is less drone. No idea exactly how the soundwaves work or why breaking in would change this (maybe an ECU thing), but I do like this exhaust and do not regret it. Will update more later.

Right‽‽‽ I’m not in the market for exhaust mods at the moment (I’ll wait until I’ve done all of the functional mods on my list), but I’d buy AWE’s kit solely based on their interaction here.
