Hey Guys, Need to tap into a 12V wire for my radar detector. I saw somewhere someone popped off the plastic cover by the rear view mirror. Cant find the video again. Anyone do this yet to install a radar detector up on the windshield by the rear view mirror . Pics please. THANKS IN ADVANCE !

I used the Dongar adaptor to install a dash cam, pulling power from behind rearview mirror. Many have used this for cameras and radar detectors.

Does the radar detector you are installing use 12V or USB (5V) input to power it?
