thanks for posting. I have always been amazed how Toyota can't understand that the rear hatch area needs an additional light. 1992 LC, 2010 4-runner, both same issue. I figured with a 2024 LC they may have finally figured it out, nope.
4-runner at least had the lighting on the actual hatch, albeit, not very bright.

Just finished installing this today and posted it on another thread along with your video @yoadriantrd. That video made it so much easier.

The hardest part was popping out that stupid panel where the light mounts... I thought I was going to crack something for sure! Made a huge difference.

Why not just add a usb c rechargeable light with no cables?

When you have this elegant of a solution, why would you want a USB light that needed to be recharged? This seems perfect. Question I have is what is the difference between the manual hatch kit and the automatic hatch kit? Is the wiring shorter on the auto hatch? Are they interchangeable at all, or not?
