Issues with CBI/Prinsu Rock Sliders & my 2025 LC '58

I had a similar experience with CATuned installing their sliders. Poor manufacturing and garbage customer service.
I’ve been considering the CATuned bull bar. It sounds like they manufacture low quality products - materials, fit and finish. Should I stay away from CA?

I finally got these slider steps installed, no thanks to CBI & Prinsu. I made a couple different trips to the hardware store to get all the correct sized bolts needed. I discovered that even the large 4 1/2 inch 1/2 bolts they sent me were too short to fit through frame with enough space for nut. So I had to make another trip to the store to replace those with 5 inch. Once I had the appropriate parts (total cost was about $75) and figured out I needed to remove a plastic plug that was difficult to see, the actual install was pretty straightforward and I had no further trouble. Aside from the wasted time, money and negative energy, I'm happy with the slider steps in the end, just not the company.

I should probably preface this by saying I'm pretty exasperated and disappointed with CBI/Prinsu. I'm just trying to figure out how to install these new sliders.

After waiting a month longer than they originally promised, I finally received them a few days ago. Included was a small bag of seemingly random bolts and washers. Three different size bolts: 19 silver ones, 2 smaller silver ones, and 2 large gold ones, along with their respective washers. Although the bulk of the washers seem too big for the 16 main bolts they say are needed. There was no other literature or communication, no manual or instructions included or on their website. The only thing is a 2 minute video that fails to show you where bolts are being inserted, doesn't itemize all the parts included in my shipment, etc. After calling CBI initially, they then guided me to a link to another install video for the GX550. That was a much better video, but was ultimately no help.

It seems to me that all of the bolts do NOT fit the appropriate frame holes (too small and don't contact threads), and there's no apparent hole for the larger bolt that goes through the frame.

As for CBI/Prinsu customer service... I'm stuck in a ridiculous cycle. They tell me I have the correct bolts but yet don't address why it is I have more bolts than they say I should have, or why it is they don't fit. No one seems to think it's important and despite numerous requests, they won't pick up the phone and call me. I should stick to solving the immediate problem which is why I'm reaching out to anyone that may be able to help, and may have to make my own trips to the hardware store to figure something out. I didn't bargain for this added time, effort and aggravation when I decided to order them.

Does anyone have any recent experience installing these CBI rock sliders on their Land Cruiser 250, and a 2025 '58 in particular? If so, any suggestions at all you can provide would be much appreciated.

Thank you!
Just a heads up, I found your post today while trying to figure out how to install my sliders on a GX550 over trail Plus. All of the hardware that they shipped me is M8 and needed to be m10 by 1.25. I am just getting back from the hardware store so I can bolt these damn things on. I'm pretty over CBI right now! I have the prinsu rack already installed and their front bumper is on order and has been since the end of February .
Their customer service is unimpressive to say the least and they're over-the-top marketing that started this year is not what I was hoping for. I placed my order and 3 days later they went on sale. After them dodging my phone calls for a couple of days. They proceeded to tell me that the advertisement was a mistake and my particular parts were not actually on sale and did not qualify for free shipping. They originally promised me the sliders within 4 weeks of my order which should have had them at my place somewhere around the end of March early April. Not June! Anyway, I'm sure they won't do anything about the $40 worth of hardware that I just had to buy either. And they're telling me that they will charge me a cancellation fee to cancel my order for the bumper that has not even gone into production yet!.

If it wasn't for CBI charging a cancellation fee, I would have just gone with Slee. I have their sliders and dealing with their customer service was a top-notch experience.

Sorry you had a similar experience as me. All my bolts cost $72 as I also needed 5 inch 1/2” bolts to go through the frame as the ones then send are too short. They reimburse me $100, but I had to go through a lot of aggravation with them to even get that.
