Is anyone using a Toyota credit card key, as seen in this video

I had one of these with my 22 Lexus. I kept it when I traded in the Lexus. It is the same model number as the one pictured above. Does anyone know if this can be reprogrammed to the Land Cruiser?
According to a locksmith and the dealer, it can only be programmed one time to one vehicle.

Found it on eBay for $99 (includes an uncut physical key).

I purchased the 2024 Tacoma key from this seller but the programming did not work.. I took it to the locksmith who has the GTS+ software subscription and they couldn't program the CC key because the FCC ID does not match to my VIN. They tried for nearly an hour. Unless anyone on here knows how to get?

If that CC key was programmed to another vehicle prior to you owning it.......... it's dead. As it was explained to me, once a CC key is programmed to a vehicle it's locked to that ICM (ignition control module) I purchased my CC key (2024 Tacoma) from the dealer and it programmed on the first try.

Ebay seller page states:

"100% genuine OEM Smart card key, new, never programmed!"

FOB case shows no sign of use either.. I found a Tundra post where a member has the same FCC ID as I between the CC fob and original fob and states CC works. Something is a miss where the locksmith can't figure this out. The locksmith has the GTS+ subscription for 3 days so trying to find the answers on how to make this work as not to icur additional cost

When I took it to the dealer to have mine programmed (LC/FE), they wanted both OEM fobs and the CC key, Only took them 30 mins to complete.

I took a chance and bought one from an ebay seller. I had it programmed for my Land Cruiser and I use it all the time. I also use it for my Lexus vehicles, and I haven't had to change the batteries yet.

I purchased one from the ebay seller. Took it to the dealer today and they're also saying they weren't able to program it after trying for an hour. The reason they gave me is because the vehicle has to be equipped with digital key, which the 1958 trim isn't. Has anyone had success getting one to work with a 1958?

Crapped out here….

Got the CC Fob from Ed Martin and two dealers could not do it here in central PA. My independent doesn’t have the software to do it.

Can anyone confirm successfully programming a ‘25? Anyone know a dealer in the north east that has done it yet?

Thanks folks!

2025 LC LC Prem confirmed programming. I had two programmed

FWIW, I’ve been using my phone (digital key) for about 2 months exclusively now. It was rocky / frustrating for about 10 days but it’s been great since!
Yeah. I don't get why people are needing a separate fob other than the actual truck key, seems like a waste of ~$400.

I am more likely to have my phone on me randomly than my wallet, so the phone does the same thing as this key everybody is pumped out.

I have the LC LC as the cooler box was a bit much for me so no digital key feature.

Also, as an IT guy I have some hangups with the cellular connectivity too.

Got too much crap in my pockets and if I can move my key to my wallet, one less thing. To each their own.

As a cybersecurity person myself... I guess I'm a unique use case. I don't want to leave my wallet + keyfob outside of a SCIF. But I would gladly leave my car keys outside of a SCIF.

Digital key on my phone is just nice for when I'm already outside and I need to move the truck and I can just hope in it and drive with my phone.
