I have an issue where the 120 volt receptacle shuts down. Periodically on its own

I use the AC receptacle very frequently as I have a eco-flow power station and refrigeration in the vehicle. I have to remember to push the button to turn it on when I'm driving to restore the battery and it works also charging the battery up to 1700 Watts.

Sometimes it works perfectly for hours and sometimes it'll run for three or four minutes and then stop no error message or any indication other than it just stops sometimes it'll run for 15 or 30 minutes and then just stop with no indication.

When it stops just kicks offline I usually can wait 5 or 10 minutes and then push the button again and it'll come back on.

Anyone else see any weird behavior like this or have any ideas what might be going on?

I thought about the possibility of the inverter getting hot and kicking offline but sometimes it happens in the first two or three minutes so I don't think that's it. And sometimes it'll work hard doing 1700 Watts for almost an hour and no problem.

I have not had this issue so far… but I plan on using mine exactly like you’re doing once I get my Jacky and fridge combo purchased.

That always happens to me if I turn it on before the ambient temperature in the car is lower.

I figure the power source is under the console, so make sure those vents aren’t blocked.

I use a Jackery 1000 and a fridge + starlink mini. Always need to remember to push the button - and the light on the button is the worst location, because it’s hidden under the ledge.

I’ve discovered also that charging at lower wattage prevents the shutdown, but also the very, very loud fan.

Interesting. Keep things cool then…. Not to hijack this thread but how is the star link-mini working out for you?

It’s working well. It uses more battery than the fridge - maybe double. The biggest problem though is that when you drive where there’s no reception you need to use wifi. So, wireless CarPlay won’t work there, so to setup wired CarPlay. Then everything works pretty good. Last year I used the gen2 actuated and it took a tonne of space - I didn’t roof mount the gen 2. I have it plugged into the Jackery battery for continuous operation.

I didn't think it seemed to be directly temperature correlated but I'll pay more attention over time. The last two days I've had to do some heavy charging after camping overnight with refrigerator and starlink and it's charged perfectly up to 100% with no hiccup.

Weather has not been any different the last few days when I've had the problem and when I haven't had the problem.

I've also been down in Maryland this summer where the fridge can be working hard as hell inside a car in the hot sun with interior temperature probably 120 plus and sometimes it works fine and sometimes it doesn't so I just never correlated it with temperature.

I guess I'll hijack your hijack... I'm also running a starlink mini mounted almost exactly like the photo posted here. I've just been all the way up to James Bay road and the entire trans taiga road and have had multiple people in two vehicles using the starlink which is just been virtually perfect. The other vehicle is even enjoying wi-fi/internet while in convoy except when we had to spread out except when we had to spread out because of dust.

The thing also happily sits up there and keeps on working at 85 mph on the highway. Pouring rain hasn't been a problem.

Yes there are some interruptions when you go under or near trees or any other obstructions.

But even when you have partial obstructions you can still get out text and email and download stuff and whatever.

My buddy who I was camping with had an original dishy starlink in a Rubbermaid tub in his truck and he thought it was going to be great to set it up at camp when he wanted but he ended up never touching it because he was connected to mine virtually 24/7 during our trip.
