Do you mean the search function? I use it a lot, but it’s sometimes outdated compared to good searching tools.

I decided to take a risk and purchase the driver side sun visor for a GX550 since the non extending LC250 sun visor has been an annoyance on road trips.

Install:
The Install was super easy, just remove the plastic shroud covering the screws, unscrew the old and screw in the new. The connectors are slightly different in that the LC250 appears to be spring loaded and the GX550 is not. Other than that they are compatible and the vanity lights work as expected. The GX550 sun visor is made of a softer material and is a bit darker than the head liner. Its not very noticeable and well worth having the extending feature.

A slight detour if I may...

I noticed in your picture of old/original you had removed that GIANT GLARING YELLOW safety sticker that comes on the back of all vehicles (at least in the U.S.). I can't begin to say how much I hate those.

And, I have failed twice before to remove them cleanly. Slowly and carefully peeled them off, then tried to use Goo Gone or Goof Off to remove the leftover adhesive, both attempts leaving a discolored rectangular patch. Not as bad as the GLARING yellow sticker, but still frustrating my OCD objectives for a clean visor when in the down position. FWIW, the prior two vehicles were Acura so it's possible the fabric was different.

Any secrets you can share for how you cleanly got rid of the #$%^& sticker?

Maybe just an illusion from the picture ordering in my original post, but the factory take offs still have stickers. Only the passenger side is missing one on the on the exposed side when folded. Not sure if others have it and the factory just forgot mine.

Haha, I can’t argue that I am a glutton for punishment. Maybe not gladly, but certainly in pride and principle. 5 reenlistments and two Oaths of Office definitely shift one’s baseline for embracing the suck.

It's more of a less is less kind of thing. My Lexus dealer told me that if you buy directly from the dealers it is more expensive than if you buy on the internet. Has anyone seen this is true?

In the US buying through a dealer is the only way to buy a Toyota. Each dealer sets their own prices.

There's usually one dealership that discounts a little and ships nationwide, search using the Toyota or Lexus part number, but in my experience it's just easier to go to the local dealership parts department unless they have additional markup.
