Grill Marker lights turn on when vehicle is shut off

I recently installed some grill marker lights on my LC (see link for lights). For some reason, these lights have turned on 3 separate times when the vehicle has been turned off. Not sure how that is even possible. These lights were installed with a hardwire into the fuse box. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue or have any suggestions? I just re-connected all the wires again to make sure they were not loose, but again, vehicle is turned off.

Thanks in advance

Which fuse did you use in the fuse box. I know I used one that comes on when the accessory/ignition is on and it sometimes comes back on for the vehicle is off.

Welcome to the Jungle!

With out seeing a diagram, it's impossible to provide accurate advice.

That being said:
Is the fuse you tapped into "always hot" or "ACCY"?
If it's always hot, then dependent on how you have it wired, the lights would be on with the key off.
If it's accy, is there a relay involved? Is the accy fuse tied in to the proximity lighting (headlights stay on for "X" seconds after the ignition is turned off etc......

I followed the instructions which said to use the red fuse (10) that is next to the green fuses. There are 2 red fuses (I connected to the right [looking from in front of car] fuse on the right. Which fuse are you using? Did that fix the issue of lights turning on

Not sure I can answer your questions. The link below includes a video that shows which fuse to connect to. The fuse had a red cover with'10' on it. I pulled the tab and inserted the connection from the lights

It appears that fuse is the "A/F No.2" which is controlled by the "EFI Main No. 3 Relay" (page 2 of the PDF). If you move the fuse tap to the "Empty" slot (lower R/H corner of the picture) Where I have my fuse tap (yellow fuse, not the red fused tap) located, it's an ACCY section of the fuse box. I have an accy buss connected to my tap and it powers off when the ignition is off. Be advised if you put a tap into an empty slot, you still need two fuses in the tap.
