Hey All, looking at upgrading to the FE skids. Looking online at most parts suppliers, good price.. but $500 for shipping which is crazy town. I understand they are heavy and big, but most volume shippers get greatly reduced rates on shipping items such as these.

Anyone find a good price and not $500 for shipping?

TIA!

Do a web search for the part number and youโ€™ll find plenty of online parts dealers with varying discounts and shipping rates.

I ended up getting both skids for $585 including shipping.

I have an LC trim. I definitely need both of these correct? I know LC trim doesn't have the rear, but the front is different as well correct?

The shipping rates are different depending on where you live and the dealer selling the parts.

I saw shipping rates from $30 to $500 for both parts and this is what I settled on.

That looks correct and a pretty good shipped price. Have fun!

Care to share what website? TIA!

If one of your local Toyota dealer discounts it will only be online. Most will not advertise but the discount will show in the parts department accessed from the dealer's website.

I paid $576 for both, including shipping, from Grieco Toyota. RI to LA

Thanks all! Got it ordered!

Toyota of north Austin quoted me $720, before tax, for parts and $100 labor. Ready to service in 3 days. Not bad if you don't wanna do it yourself.
Part of the reason for getting a quote close to what's been talked about here is referencing this thread at the dealership.
Thank you fellow cruisers.
