There's a middle ground called "C Load" and "D Load" too . Usually lighter than E. More tread/heavier than SL.

Very competitive market because of so many needs. Total case of give & take on what need vs want. I felt Nitto G3, Toyo AT3, BFG KO3 & Falken A/T4W come out strong as a preferences & compared them.

Next step for me was if in the size that you want if you could handle a SL or not for your driving. Weight saving in SL can really help w/ MPG on a larger tire, & LT sidewall strength helps w/ serious off-road. On my LC a LT was out of the question for the majority of our LC driving, so it came off as an option.

Here is how I compared. Wet traction was high priority, as well as a SL in my size. Low score won.
