just FYI, my post TSB LC is squealing again, and these spring clips are now on a nationwide back order according to my local dealer. i was able to get 2 of the 4 i need, but they said 1-2 weeks to get them...

This is beyond absurd when they know it’s such a problem. Why isn’t it a recall rather than a TSB ?

Hello all! First post. First want to say thanks to all who contributed to info on here regarding this helpful TSB.
I had made an early am appt with local dealer to fix and show them this TSB. Technician took it and came back 15 min later and said he heard nothing. I explained it’s only when backing up and after it sits for awhile. Guy said I didn’t hear anything nor can I see anything so I can’t fix what isn’t there.
I whipped out my phone to show him TSB and before I said anything he said I can’t see any videos your about to show me.
I said it’s a TSB and it’s obvious I have it. He says I can’t do anything with that so here’s your car and I’ll finish up paperwork.

I immediately called cooperate Toyota and told them what happened. They gave me a CM who called within a few hours and told me they would contact dealer for an overnight stay and a loaner free of charge. Come Wednesday I took my car and was ready with TSB parts installed and new brake pads. Crazy I had to do all that.

FYI: I took my LC in for the 25k service this past Monday. As I was pulling up, a 4R was backing out of a spot ahead of the intake bay, squealing like a stuck pig. When I came through the doors my service advisor immediately began telling me that they were 100% aware that the brake service TSB is failing on some vehicles requiring rework, and that she would go ahead and schedule that rework for me. I told her that the squeal she heard was for the 4R her tech was moving just out of her line of sight. Interesting revelation by pure coincidence.

He looked at me like crazy town glance. Then he said no, they were likely reconditioning the defective units.

After my 25 LC sits for a while in the garage or left overnight outside, when I first back it up and hit the brakes, there is a hum more than a squeal (like high pitch low pad warning). My sister in law was considering a LC and wanted to drive mine. We backed it up and it was a medium tone hum. I only have 4,700 miles on it, but this doesn't seem right. Is this the noise people are talking about for TSB 0006-26? I have not had it back to the dealer in the year that I have owned it (since new) because I do all of my own maintenance. If someone can confirm this noise is indeed what they will fix....I'll make the appointment.... TIA.

It might Help.. But some have reported that some dealers don’t accept a customer made video.
With me I wasn’t even going to show him a video only the TSB and as I reached for my phone he immediately said “I won’t even look at any videos. I have to see/hear it myself.”
You may have to request an overnight stay for them to hear it first thing AM. If they won’t I called cooperate number myself and explained they wouldn’t help me much and cooperate called that location to “set em straight”
Same day I got called to set up earliest date drop off with a free rental.
We have 3 differing Toyota Hybrid SUV Vehicles and yet to have issue with the dreaded and embarrassing brake squeal others have complained about. Oldest vehicle ('25 4Runner ORP Max) purchased 8/29/25 with 13K miles. Also have additional 4Runner and LC250. All vehicles are garaged when not in use. All 3 have had suspension and wheel and or tire upgrades. Vehicles are driven briskly while not being abused. I make a practice of not running up behind others or stopping at speed with hard braking, and depending on grade, try not to clamp brakes while stopped. I find these vehicles tend to decelerate off throttle when approaching vehicles from behind, stop lights or intersections. Easiest vehicles to operate considering you allow them to do their job. Not sure if the non hybrid vehicles behave in this manner and wondering if those experiencing the dreaded squeal might be harder on their brakes and holding the brake pedal firm when at rest? For anyone reading this has participated in track day events, you know not to hold the brake pedal or set the parking brake after coming in from a session. Some I'm sure have learned this the hard way considering they warped, cracked or broke a rotor which probably led to you loading up and going home or scrambling for a replacement rotor and brake pads and a brake bleed. IDK?
