Another Electronics Issue - This Time My Navigation Screen Goes Blank - Totally Gone & Eventually Returns. This Happened Twice This Saturday.

I'm still having issues with the navigation freezing-up and the radio going silent.

I took it back in to the Toyota dealer in Lewisville again 2 1/2 weeks ago and it is still there. Got a call today and the service writer said they haven't been able to duplicate the problem yet. I can't believe that Toyota corporate which is a few miles away from my dealer can't figure this out. This is so frustrating.

Anyone else having issues with their new Land Cruiser?

Once or twice a month mine will go blank while driving. Always in Android Auto mode when this happens but then again I always use Android Auto so I don't know if it happens in the native Toyota OS by itself as well. Usually it cycles and after a minute or two all is back to normal but maybe one time out of ten I have had to wait until I could shut off and restart the vehicle for the screen to come back to life. It's never not come back so for something that it is a minor inconvenience (to me) I just live with it.

We've had more techy vehicles with way more bugs than this (lookin' at you Elon) and I'm hard pressed to think of any gadgets we have - from thermostats to TVs to the frickin' useless wifi enabled refrigerator - that don't glitch out once in a while. Chalk it up as one of the hidden costs of modern convenience I suppose.

That said I can understand the frustration of spending a ton of money and having things not work perfectly as expected, especially since it's not the sort of issue you'd be likely to sus out during a test drive. Unless the head unit goes permanently dark though I wouldn't hold my breath for Toyota to do much about this. If it were an obvious, easy fix they'd have pushed out an update by now...

My ‘24 58 has 30,000 miles in it ands I lost navigation last week for the first time. I tried a few things and found it only came back after turning off the 58 and opening a door. Then Waze screen came back. I hope this was only a one time thing.

Gupid, I tried that same trick as you did when I lost my navigation once and it didn't work.

With all said and done, the dealership bought my Land Cruiser back last week. I had 7,000 miles on it and was given $65,000 if I wanted to buy something else at wholesale prices or they would buy it outright for $62,000. I took the $65,000 and purchased a new 2025 hybrid 4Runner Limited 4-wheel drive, pearl white, (can't remember the Toyota color name) with a $67,000. I got it for around $3500 under sticker along with a check for $850. Hopefully, all works out this time.
