500 mile oil change

Never thought a 500 mile oil change would be necessary with new engines but… figured I might as well as our engines are turbocharged. Looked through the “old” oil and actually saw a few shavings. Glad I did it and will likely do another around 1.5-2k miles.

I did 1k, 3k, 5k and will do every 5k now.

That’s dedication! With the turbo though, it’s probably well worth it. I think ToyotaCare omits the 5k change so I’ll likely do that one. My planned interval is:

-500
-1500/2000
-5000

After the 5k I’ll let ToyotaCare do the 10k, don’t really trust them much though…, and then every 5k after whether it’s Toyota or myself.

I'll Blackstone the 5k change to see what they say.

I changed at 1200 miles. I’ll do it again at 5k then every 5 after. Hoping this vehicle gets me 250k or more miles
