Sounds like we keep NEBO at the ready. Going forward. Crazy I have a 2024 Taco and no issues but do 25 miles a day to work and back. The LC wife’s she drives 6 miles a day to work and back.

Part of the problem with the Land Cruiser is the smallish battery capacity- there is very little redundancy for all of the onboard electronics. When you couple that with extended time spent at port for various quality checks and addition of certain accessories that are port-installed that see doors and hatch left open for extended periods that adds up to a battery that can go dead before it ever hits the car carrier to get to the dealership. With standard flooded lead acid batteries, a deep discharge can permanently impact overall battery life.
The dealer would normally charge a discharged battery as part of the PDI. Unfortunately, discharging a flooded lead acid battery below 10V is no bueno, and recharging a battery that has been that deeply discharged means overall battery life once in the hands of a consumer will not likely live as long as one that has not been deeply discharged. It doesn't happen to every Land Cruiser but will mean shorter battery life for those affected. Toyota will take care of you, but that doesn't really make up for the small battery capacity.
The same is true for many manufacturers- they cheap out on the OEM battery to keep costs down. My battery has been fine (so far), but when it does poop the bed I plan on squeezing as much additional capacity in the battery compartment as I can.

Are you stating that your new TLC battery has failed??
may not be relevant but some of these hard to get vehicles sit around for an extended period of time before delivery.
Had a new GR86 which ended up stored with Toyota for three months priory to delivery [a combination of factors - 95% Toyota] so I made a point of requesting a new battery before I took ownership. [no fuss or objection from my dealer - Toyota Guildford, Uk]
Never had a problem with the GR86.
Wondering if some of these LC250’s have been sat around more than their intended owners would have preferred., Throw in some extended cold temperatures and the LC250’s tech heavy spec [everything motorised] wouldn’t that - inevitably- make the battery a weak point?
Just returned from a round trip to Edinburgh 910 miles in 34 hours - not worried about the battery’s health

Yep or they recommend replacement so they did this morning.
I’m going on 2 years with mine. Some nights at work it’s parked outside for 12 hours with temperatures at -20F. Those nights the battery does struggle to turn over the engine but it hasn’t failed yet, knock on wood.
