Anyone know if it is possible to fully open the Liftgate, if I have a setting to automatically open it partially?

I changed the system settings for custom open height, and set it just below where my garage door sits, so it doesn’t hit it when opening.

However I was wondering if there was a way I could tell it to open all the way, like holding the button or something like that. Would be nice to have the option for when I’m loading the back up outside of my garage.

I have a 2025 Land Cruiser (Not the 1958 model). Can you share HOW you changed the system settings to prevent the rear Liftgate from opening fully? I took out groceries and drove the vehicle into my garage...with the Liftgate fully open. Now, I have scratches on the upper lid of the Liftgate. I am used to driving a Pick-up truck and just never gave it a thought. I was saddened as this is the first vehicle I have purchased in 22 years. Hoping you can provide some guidance with how to make this adjustment. Thank you.

Do you have manual or power liftgate? I thought 1958 has manual liftgate.

If you have an electric lift gate, I think that when you push the little button on the back of the lift gate, it starts to rise up. Keep your hand very close to the button. When you want it to stop going up, push the ‘open’ button a second time. That will set the upper limit of how open the lift gate will rise.

Your welcome

I will certainly try this with the push of the button as the tailgate opens to the level I want it to stop. NOTHING in my Owner's manual indicates there is a way to set a desired height level. Do you know, after setting this height level, how you can get the tailgate to raise to full height again, if you determine it needs further adjustment?
I appreciate your input.

My Land Cruiser is equipped with a power back lift gate.
In that case, you press the button that you use to close the power liftgate while it is opening. That will set the upper limit of how high it goes.
