Toyota is set to showcase the 2024 Land Cruiser, destined for the U.S. market, at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show. However, this isn't your typical LC 250. The traditional circular steering wheel has been swapped out for "NEO Steer," a yoke-inspired design that incorporates the vehicle’s acceleration and braking controls directly into the steering mechanism, drawing inspiration from motorcycle handlebars and eliminating the need for foot pedals.
This innovative yoke design facilitates hand-operated driving, opening up new possibilities for individuals with lower limb impairments to comfortably drive the 2024 Land Cruiser. The controls are conveniently placed on the right side of the yoke, allowing for an intuitive driving experience...
Over 1,200 dealer attendees are set to convene at the Toyota National Dealer Meeting in Las Vegas next week, and the mood is anticipated to be jubilant.
David Christ, the group vice president/general manager for Toyota, highlights numerous reasons for this celebratory atmosphere at the annual gathering from Sept. 12-14. The highlights include Toyota's robust sales in August 2023, which marked their most successful retail month in nearly two years, the launch of key vehicles like the Tacoma and Land Cruiser, and an expanding roster of vehicles featuring diverse powertrain options.
"We believe we're in our element now," shares Christ with Wards. "These dealer meetings always serve as a platform to bolster faith in our brand, and we're...
Toyota has recently lodged a trademark request for the 'Land Hopper' name in Japan. While its exact use remains a mystery, insights from the 2024 Land Cruiser unveiling might provide some hints. Is it earmarked for a two-door SUV or perhaps an electric bike or motorcycle shown above?

According to a recent Automotive News article, Toyota is exploring the possibility of introducing PHEV, fuel-cell, or a fully electric version for their legendary SUV. Keita Moritsu, the SUV's chief engineer, mentioned that while integrating these alternative drive systems into the TNGA-F platform has its advantages and drawbacks, discussions about electrified versions have already begun among Toyota's engineering team.

The Toyota Land Cruiser has been notably absent in the automaker’s US lineup since the 2021 model year. By then, the model that started life as a rough-and-tumble Jeep CJ5 rival had grown in both size and status to become an eight-seat premium SUV with an $87,000 price tag – as well as some formidable off-road talent.
Despite the model’s three-year absence in American showrooms, a new off-road SUVis headed our way. The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser is hearkening back to its roots with a few retro styling cues, more maneuverable size, and most importantly, a lower price. Although not the roofless FJ40 redux many hoped for, the new Land Cruiser should be more attainable than the last one, with a starting price in the mid-$50,000 range...
Anticipation is mounting as cardesignworld on Instagram has leaked the initial images of the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser. The pictures suggest significant updates, showcasing a refined yet sturdy design that pays homage to the esteemed heritage of this off-roading SUV.
Toyota released a new teaser photo of the 2024 Land Cruiser along with an official announcement date!
" Something great is on the horizon. The all-new Toyota Land Cruiser will make its world debut on August 1st at 9:20 p.m. EDT."
The official reveal of the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser is steadily approaching, set for August 1st, 2023. Toyota has provided yet another sneak peek with teaser images highlighting the headlight and taillight in detail, a few side views, and, for the first time, a sneak peek into the vehicle's interior.
Toyota is back at it again, building up anticipation for its new Land Cruiser via another teaser with retro leanings. Luckily for us, the latest image of the forthcoming off-roader does away with the silhouettes, though all we get is a close-cropped look at the front fascia.
Pictured alongside a Land Cruiser FJ62, it’s clear the new model (likely to arrive for the 2025 model year) will take some inspiration from its 1980s forebear via a rectangular headlight array flanking an egg-crate grille, with “TOYOTA” script taking the place of the oval brand emblem in the center. The front fenders are also delightfully blocky, though the hood wrapping down onto the bodysides is a clearly modern touch.
The chunky front bumper is yet another...
It looks like the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser will only offer 4 cylinder as the engine options. It looks like the twin turbo V6 engine will be saved for the Lexus GX550 only.
From the article: "A leaked document reveals a trio of 4-cylinder powertrain options. The first one code-named “1GD-FTV” is the 2.8-liter turbodiesel from the Hilux and the Fortuner. The “TJA250” is believed to be a turbocharged 2.4-liter petrol from the Tacoma and the Kluger, that could be part of a hybrid powertrain. Finally, the “2TR-FE” is referring to a naturally aspirated 2.7-liter petrol, likely destined for entry-level models. Notably, the twin-turbo 3.4-liter petrol of the 2024 Lexus GX is missing from the list. Although this doesn’t mean it couldn’t be...
