I was all set to do steelies but the size I needed won’t be out till Nov of this year. Heading to Moab later this month so I just did the 265/70/18 on the stock wheels.
Coming home from Discount Tire it was smooth and tracked arrow straight on surface/highway to interstate. Discount wanted to put them at what the “door card” said. Like 33psi. This is a hot topic on this site. I had them put 46psi.
Love it.
Now don’t get me wrong it’s not as compliment as the stock “road” tires. I knew what I was getting into with an E load tire. I even turned off the radio to just take in the new tires. To my ears, pretty close to the smoothly stock tires. But again just talking about this because I know others will be doing this for the first time and looking for info. I really don’t care about the mileage, bought this hippo to go off-road.
As always “your mileage may vary” in more ways then one. <wink>

Looks great, I have been thinking about similar with BF’s on my 1958. The white-letter out looks better than I had thought it would. Enjoy, nice looking cruiser!
You have two LC’s?

Love mine! I also don’t think road noise is an issue.

Photos look great. Making me question my decision to ask the dealership to put the back walls out! Hopefully they be done with the tires and everything by the end of the day so we can compare

I have the exact same tires and same color truck. I've run everything from 33 to 45 psi. Currently at 39 and happy. Going to 45 didn't provide any noticeable mpg improvement for me. 23psi on the trail is really nice. I have the black side out, but kinda wishing I'd gone the other way after seeing your Pic. Looks great!

Can you share a pic? I just found out the dealership has done none of the work on the truck so I have a chance to decide what color facing out.

I know the decision on what to run these tires on this truck are all over the place. I just used my own knowledge on the subject and did a long search here to come to 45-46psi. That seems to be where a good amount of people here are running theirs with good information to back that choice up. Although it really is a hard question to answer.
