For those of you that are using the 18" Tacoma TRD wheels (PTR56-35242-F1). I love the look. Can you help me fill out the wheel details? I tried the website and nearby dealers.

Weight: 26-27 lbs
Bore: 95
P.C.D: 6 x 139.7mm
Offset: 45 mm
TPMs: 20° TPMS E-TYPE
Wheel weight capacity: ??

Thanks all.

My build thread has a screen shot of the specs but no indicated capacity.

I love that wheel also…I’m hoping to see them on sale around the holiday.

I haven’t chosen a tire/tire size yet, so will be interested in what you learn here.

Does anyone know if the tacoma TRD wheels fit the spare tire chain mount under the trunk?

Weight of the Tacoma wheel is 28.75 lbs, measured by myself prior to installation. It was just under 1 pound less than stock mid-trim wheel (I weighed also), and if I recall correctly just less than a pound heavier than the stratospherically-priced Tundra/Sequoia TRD BBS forged wheel.

Well, 5 of them arrived at my door yesterday. I got a terrific Black Friday/Weekend deal from Stevenson-Hendrick Toyota. $160 per wheel to my door. They already had a pretty good price, but discounted them further over the weekend and knocked $200 off shipping.

I’ve not decided yet whether to put TPSM sensors on these, or simply swap them off of my OEM tires (20” wheels w/Bridgestones).

And finally, I haven’t yet decided on tires. I’m paying close attention to what everybody is doing here.

That’s a great price! I got them for about $200 from BAM Wholesale but it’s taking them a while. Because of that, I’ve decided to put Michelin X-Ice Snow tires on my 20” wheels and make that my winter set. Probably 265/70R18 SL Duratrac RTs on the 18” wheels, but I’m still thinking about Nokian nATs or 275/60R28 Nitto Terra Grappler G3’s. All three are pretty similar weight.

I felt like I lucked out, to be honest. I’ve been looking pretty hard at the Falken Wild Peaks ( AT/3s or AT/4s). I’m curious about the Bridgestone Dueler Ascents also. I think I’m looking for something all-terrain, but if I’m honest, my off-road driving will be sand only.

I had a set of KO3s on my jeep that I liked well, but never put enough miles on them to find out if they would wear well, or if they would get noisy. I think they are overkill for what I plan to do.

Just got mine put on, offset is perfect, hopefully they don’t get too played out. Can’t complain for under $700

Wow! thats an amazing deal! I've been looking at cheapest I found was $200 per wheel but shipping was $650...

I was looking at a set of FE take offs for a bunch more(admittedly with TPMS sensors) and these really started to make sense. The Black Friday prices pushed me over the edge.
I may or may not add the sensors to these.
I’m reading everything I can on tires.

That's a fantastic price.

Questions for those of you who have installed these Tacoma wheels:
  • Do the factory (20" wheel) lug nuts work?
  • Is 42607-76020 the right TPMS?
Thanks, I plan to install mine in about a week.

Did the center caps come with the wheels? I ordered the rims today and TPMS devices.
Do you have lug nut part numbers for the black ones?
Great posting.
Thx.

I’ve been patient ordering tires (I’ve spent a bunch of money….), but plan to order this week. I’m hoping for a President’s Day sale, but will order 5 tires regardless.

I’m leaning towards the Falkens - probably a 265 or 275-70-18.

I’m also trying to talk myself into simply swapping the TPMS sensors over into the new wheels (and selling the OEM items) rather than keeping 2 sets of wheels/tires and swapping them seasonally. You look at the cost of those Bridgestone OEM tires (have you folks looked at what those cost to buy new?) and think its a shame to give them away - and the OEM wheels - for nothing. That said, the Falkens look like they have 40K or 50K in them if rotated regularly.

I have these wheels and will agree that the offset is perfect for the land cruiser. I ended up going with 285/70r18 ko3 tires and I absolutely love this setup. The stock lugs fit but I ended up ordering the black lugs and they look much better with those wheels.
