I ran 275/60R20 X-Ice Snow tires on the stock 20” wheels last winter, and they’ll also go back on in a few weeks. They were great in all kinds of conditions. MPG was around 21.

Those were awesome on my Subaru Outback 3.6R!
On most of my vehicles the mpg penalty was 1 mpg with the DM-V2s

I’m not sure why people are so concerned about fuel economy on snow tires.
That is a performance metric pretty far down the list of priorities for a winter tire in my opinion.
You can probably expect a 2mpg hit to economy between the extra rolling resistance and winter blend fuel. This is probably less expensive every winter than paying an insurance deductible if you slide off into a ditch at highway speeds.

Totally agree.. I don’t care about mpgs if I can’t stop on icy roads .. decided to stick with oem tire size.. which leads to the X-ice snow .. until Bridgestone gets the DMV2 in 265/60R20… currently the only option in that size is the blizzak LT .. which I don’t think matches the dmv2 or the Xice …
275 fits fine and at least a year ago there were a lot more options in that size.
Not concerned about the size or wheels fitting … just avoiding having to deal with insurance BS in the event of an unfortunate accident .. ahhh no ur vehicle has been modified ur not using oem tire size … claim declined!! Just avoiding any potential headaches!!!!
