Do you guys offer or plan to offer an option to only have the kit on one side? My ideal situation personally would be to do your kit (including the bed extension) only on the passenger side. That would leave the smaller side as is and available for taller things or my case a better arrangement for my dog. I realize I may be in the minority or that it's just not cost effective you guys to offer multiple layouts but thought I'd check.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier! I believe it's to support the bed platform when unfolded, that's how I installed it. Here's a crappy picture I took awhile ago, I can try and get a better one if you need
