I do not have a Toyota, but I thought I would share my experience with Dirtcom.
I ordered a trailswing on August 1st, 2026.
I was given a leadtime of 5 weeks+ 5 days shipping.
On September 8th, I spoke with a person in customer service at Dirtcom.
I was told that they do not even have the materials to build the trailswing that I ordered. The videos on YouTube, from 5 years ago, are telling potential customers that, they are finding ways to bring all production in house to eliminate or reduce lead times. THIS WAS 5 YEARS AGO!!!
After reading everything I could about this company, I got quite nervous about this purchase, and canceled my order today. I also got my credit card company involved.
My fear, is the company going under, and I lose a fair amount of money ($2740.00).
This is unfortunate, because they have IMO the best looking and best built tire carrier on the market. What good is it if it is not obtainable by the consumer?
I just wanted to save anyone that is considering this product a bunch of hassle.

Regarding the trailswing.
A quick search of their YouTube channel, shows that they are not even discussing the trailswing any longer, and they seem to have moved their production efforts to a new product called “the trail guard”.
All the same script as for the trailswing-
Claiming its superior build and durability etc.
It feels like they are hyping another product, to try and become/remain solvent with the introduction of a different part, hoping to get a large volume of orders and positive cash flow.
I did really want this tire carrier. I’m just not willing to wait 6 months and risk losing the money if they don’t survive.
Oddly, I’ve never seen a tire swing in real life, and the thing that is remarkable about that statement, is that I’m an OTR truck driver, who travels all 48 states(2850+/-) miles a week.
Also, I see in this very forum, members who were writing about their dissatisfaction with the company and wait times, are already selling/sold their trail swing.
I’m wondering if it is actually more of a nuisance than a game changer??
