TPMS part number

I have new 42607-76020 sensors in hand to be installed by Discount Tires Wednesday along with the 18" OEM FE wheels I bought from an owner who swapped them out immediately after delivery. I'm going with the Nitto Terra Grapplers G3.

I expect Discount Tires to know, but I'd also like to confirm; Do the sensors need to be 'turned on' or activated (I know they don't need to be configured) before install? Or do they work right out of the box? I know I'll need to pair them via the LC Settings config, but are they active right out of the box? Thanks!
How did your TPMS install on the new wheels at discount tire go? I'm about to go thru the same process and contemplating getting the exact sensors or have them taken off of the OEM wheels. I'm reading about going thru menu options and what not to clear how that works.

Still pending- tire install went fine and I like the Nittos. Discount said they didn't have the equipment to calibrate the OEM TPMSs, but I told them that my understanding is that no calibration is necessary.

After the install, I went through the process outlined in the LC owners manual to add new sensors, but my LC threw a 'Malfunction' code during the process. I've been too busy to retry adding the sensors through the process outlined (lots of waiting involved in a parking lot away from other sensors, as I read it), but I'll get to that soon. If not, I'll have the dealer look at it during my 10K checkup.

Wish I had a better story to relate, but in my reading I've seen many owners on the forum for whom the process has been smoother-

After thinking about it for a bit, I'm just gonna have discount tire take out the sensors from the OEM wheels and throw them on the new wheels. Hope that takes care of itself. If it doesn't and I have to do more, I'll deal with it then.

I'm sure you'll be fine with that. While I was driving home the day I had the new wheels/tires installed, I looked down at the dash and saw tire pressure readings so I assumed the new TPMSs were working. Turns out, the LC was reading the TPMSs from the original set that was in the back!
