Sherpa Atlas Roof Rack for the LC250

Thanks. It looks like the panel attaches near the top of the Sherpa rack but, if attached to the OEM, would attach center and probably sit too low and maybe rub on the roof. I just learned Sherpa is in Colorado and, lo and behold, only about 20 minutes from me. I think I am going to go over there and see if they would drill holes lower in the connecting tabs if needed to make it work. Maybe they could even use mine to make one to fit OEM so others could buy too. They seem to have nice racks, but I have no interest in replacing my OEM. It does what I need it to.
Build quality on these racks is top notch! Installation is certainly doable on your own. With a friend's help in my garage it took us about an hour to remove and install the new rack. Wind noise was minimal. Noticeable louder than the stock FE rack but I suspect that's because the wind fairing is above the front windshield, rather than behind the moon roof. We unfortunately had a life change that required us to sell our LC so I only ran the rack for three months, but I had zero complaints while we had it.

What awning mount do you use?
I have the same setup but I am still thinking which awning mount should I go for
I had to use the awning mounts that came with the FSR V1 180 awning. The awning plate height is insanely larger than most on the market and this one came with proprietary awning brackets - but they are BEEFY with gussets.
If you have a RTT, Sherpa just made new redesigned and supposedly stronger awning brackets.
Unfortunately, I had one of their earlier designs and they started splitting at the weak points.
Just brought my LC home last night, and I’m leaning heavily towards the Atlas. I’ve seen a few owners mention roof rack position causing/solving wind noise.
Wouldn’t this be replicated with a “standard” install? And if so, does Sherpa have updated installation instructions? I just don’t have time right now to tinker with it if to reduce noise (if I do buy one), though I wish I did! Thanks in advance for anyone’s advice.
I just installed the Sherpa Atlas rack and a 40 inch light bar. I had installer move rack to furthest back position. Wind noise is minimal below 70 mph. I love the rack and customer service at Sherpa is awesome!
My rack is also pushed all the way back to the farthest position and I maybe have two or 3 mm between the roof and the bottom of the wind fairing. I haven’t spent too much time fiddling around with different adjustments, but this is the second position I’ve driven in and it’s better than when I originally installed it
Thanks for sharing. When you say better… how noticeable is it at say— 50 and 65mph? E.g. so faint that the radio drowns it out? Pronounced?
Asking because some people may not mind a “little noise”, but I once had a faint whistling from Thule bars that drove me crazy. Possible I’m just not a great candidate for a roof rack.

Glad to hear customers chiming in and giving their experience, our personal Land Cruiser is not a great candidate for noise, as it does have 37" RT Tires, an aftermarket bumper, and some other add-ons that all increase overall noise. With that said, the noise produced from our rack is most commonly caused by air moving through and above the rack. It is more similar to white noise, like a fan blowing air. It does not whistle, have high-pitched frequencies, or have exhibit characteristics often associated with common rack noise.
By installing as per the instructions, you will land really close to where the rack needs to be, and most don't make adjustments from there. That said, the adjustments are easy and take less than a few minutes if desired to do so. Following the suggestions from above as an additional measure on install may be the move as well!

Is that the 40 in light bar that Sherpa sales with its rack or did you pick up a different light bar??? Love the look and have been considering going with that combo. Also, got any pics with lights on???
I bought the Diode Dynamics light bar on Amazon (actually 42 in bar). You will need the mounting brackets from Sherpa. I love the look and they are ridiculously bright.

Radio definitely drowns it out. I would say im sensitive too and honestly I dont notice it driving 70+ in my daily commute. When its really windy out and im driving fast i do hear it more than I would like But its not awful and the radio is helpful.
So, got my roof rack/light bar project done! Went with the Sherpa and Garmin Power Switch like you suggested. Also purchased a Diode Dynamics light bar, but they apparently are discontinuing the 42 in., so I went with the new Stage Series which is 40 inches. Thank you for the assistance!
