On a recent trip to Leadville my off road app had a review of Weston Pass from August 6th that included talk of building a robust campfire. This area has been under a fire ban for some time. I spend a great deal of time in Leadville and the town has suffered this summer due to the man-caused Wilson fire at the base of Mount Massive. Please, as the greater percentage of the off road community does, know the conditions, especially the fire conditions, and respect them. Not only are peoples livelihood threatened by irresponsibility, the privilege of enjoying the back country may never under pressure as well.
