planning on doing what is in the title; basically painting the edge front bumper pieces (which house a parking sensor) and the front bumper page that house the fog lights, going from painted to unpainted, and also another parking sensor. I bought the plastic bumper pieces first to just swap out.
Questions are:
1. Part description say they can’t be reused. Does this mean that they should be unplugged? Are there pieces that would break if they are removed?
2. Is it the same sensor that can just be swamped with another, meaning my black sensors will go where the colored one currently is? That way, I can avoid any painting steps.
Anything else that I may need to be aware of?

If what you are talking about are the round sensors located in the bumper....... IDK about the LC, but the ones in a Taco were a bear to reuse. Getting them off without breaking the super thin flange was almost impossible! I broke the 1st one before I realized how fragile they were, after that I got the rest out with some careful effort.

I’m trying to do the same swap. I found white bumper parts on internet. I have them but I’m nervous to attempt the switch. Do they just pull off? Did anything break like the sensor or fog light ?

It’s a job to swap these out. There is a video on YouTube that walks through it, just do a search. This is mine when I took it apart to paint them.

Good idea. Have you seen it in White ? Or recommending painting the black carbon fiber ? Also an easier idea.
I found this set in eBay $220

It took 5 min to installed both sides and no paint required in black. I don't have any affiliation with the vendor.

That paint looks pretty rough. Can you post the eBay listing?

The bumper covers came with double side tape inside. The first part is to clean the surface area of the LC250 front bumper with a little wet wipe that has adhesive accelerant in it, then peal the double side tapes from the bumper covers and finally attach left and right side covers by adding pressure with your hands. I think the vendor added a notice to do this at room temperature and avoid car washes for 24hs. I got them installed 2 weeks ago and have zero issues or regrets, it looks factory.

Sure glad I asked! I didn’t realize these were covers! Can you upload pictures closer to where the seams are? Thank you!

Wow, sounds and looks like an incredible waste of time and money.
