Question on "New" Land cruiser

What is the part number of the Fumoto Valve that is most commonly used? What about the length of the nipple on the valve?

Next oil change I'm going to attempt to change the filter without removing the skid plate since I can get my hand in there anyway. I'll just place a small plastic catch basin under it after the oil drains or use some semi rigid plastic to direct the the small amount of oil to the catch basin on the side.

Also, if you install a Fumoto valve, you can easily do the oil drain, and have the skid plate back on in 15 min. The Fumoto Drain Valve is very simple to install, not even requiring a torque wrench, which is needed for torquing the drain plug if you are doing the oil change without the Fumoto.

Lots of posts on this forum about doing an oil change, and a few on you tube as well.

thanks i have ramps still in the box need to bust them out.

I used the F133N on Miss Daisy. It has a longer nipple, which works great to slide a 3/8” clear hose over, to direct the oil when the wind is blowing. You can get a valve and clear hose combo on Bezoars site.

I also bought a nice oil filter tool, Motivx Tools 64.3mm oil filter wrench. It’s the nicest one I’ve ever owned.

Also picked up an APSG Locking Oil Funnel, which makes oil spills much less likely. Sold out now, but there are others like it.

I think I need one. The rapid flow of thin 0w-20 oil creates a huge mess every time I drain. Maybe I need a better catch bucket, but I never had a problem with a messy drain on other cars with thicker oil. Is the clearance good?

Very good clearance!! Plus, Miss Daisy’s FE skid plate protects it very well. No complaints whatsoever.
