Question for Owners: Is a Retractable Luggage (Cargo) Cover standard on the 2024 Land Cruiser?

Got a picture of the gap area by chance???

The photo on the amazon link shows the gap area. It has a layer to cover it that you can tie to the head rests. The OEM cover has nothing there blocking according to another member who posted the OEM cover.

No. Haven't noticed any rattling, although I haven't been over any really bumpy roads/terrain since I installed it.

I have a Meteor Shower 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser arriving soon—it's at port in the USA ('Land Cruiser' grade, Premium Package, standard 18" wheels). I see in the press photos, YouTube videos, etc. that the cargo area has the ability to have a retractable luggage/cargo cover fitted (you can see the mounting points, etc.) but I have yet to see an actual cover in place/installed in any photos or videos.

I see the 2024 Lexus GX550 has a cover—see photo.

To those of you who have taken delivery of a new 2024 Land Cruiser, did your vehicle come with a retractable luggage (cargo) cover?

I do not see a cover listed as available as a Toyota accessory.

I took mine out yesterday. the cargo area is too small now, the retractable cover screws things up even worse.
Use a doggy blanket or spare parka that looks less obvious. The factory tinted windows are extremely effective as well if you have them.

My 2025 did not come with this cargo cover, but I bought one (had the dealer order it). It's a standard Toyota part. It cost about $150.

To install it, you need to first remove the two small "plugs" in the side panels. These are in the holes that the ends of the cargo cover will fit in to. These plugs hide the cargo cover holes if you're not using the cargo cover. Installation instructions are included with the part.

Just like most other cars, you compress the cover (a spring inside) to shorten it and then insert it into the two holes, and it expands into place. Easy and simple to install or remove as needed.

The people at the port/dealer must have been sauced up when they installed my tonneau cover.
The original caps were left in and the cover was smashed into place, leaving a mark on the interior on one side as they tried to force it in.
Took me a while to figure out it wasn't correct (wasn't using it) and saw on here the original caps need to be removed and have another blank off cap installed.
The dealer swears the interior part doesn't exist and it must have been for early production vehicles.
Now I can just order them myself and have it done right.

If I remember correctly here is the Toyota OEM part number for the rear cargo cover.

Order it direct online from
Toyota OEM Parts, check multiple dealers on the web site for best price. Many dealers offer free ship for over $100 dollar orders

I did exactly that and they said it was a part only used in early runs and not available.

Go to your local Toyota dealer and have the parts department look up the exact part number for you.

If you order it on line thru Toyota OEM parts you save a lot of money.
