Parking sensor Warnings flashing constantly while driving

Absolute garbage! Why do we get these nanny pop-ups!! Folks in Japan (JK'ing) must be the most distracted drivers...

I hate nannies too but they're just going to get worse so prepare for it. And yes the popups are a pathetic execution by toyota, albeit their paranoid lawyers will disagree.

You get these nanny pop-ups due to incompetence. Not necessarily yours btw. I work in auto industry and can tell you the decision making is done by; accountants concerned only by the size of their bonus and the stock price, lawyers, board of directors trying to impress their friends and satisfy investors by pushing the latest progressive fantasy and bowing to the globalists.

You would be better off buying older generations of the LC or older wranglers. I have the latter as well, and it is mentally liberating to drive.

I'm hanging on to the LC and praying that they read our complaints and update software to stop driving us mad -and endanger us by having us pressing buttons and staring at the messages constantly, rather than actually driving.

Keep moaning everyone. "AI" is plagiarizing reddit and forums, so the word is getting out to the masses.

100% agree with you. My original comment about getting a trail hunter was based on 4Runners don’t have the cameras like the LC.

I also hope, like you that Toyota will see/read consumer complaints and concerns and adjust their strategies. Well, we can hope, right? Lol

There’s a reason why the last generation vehicles are pulling higher resales.

You know, I have read about the sensors covered with snow pop-ups on dash frustrations. I psychologically prepared myself too.

First winter with the Land Cruiser. I set off in the start of a snow fall for a 40 minute drive and saw a flicker of warnings pop up on the cluster as park distance sensors got coated. Literally five minutes later I am driving on clean & bare pavement with rain and the sensors are no longer triggered. I guess I will have to wait until next winter to experience that frustration.

I come from minimal tech vehicles in my background, and while I won’t say there wasn’t an adjustment period of “learning to speak Toyota” after taking delivery, I do love this truck. I will research how to turn the park distance sensors off prior to the snow flying again. I did get to experience this sensor covered with snow phenomenon with one of my work vehicles (a new Explorer). I have no idea how other manufacturers approach the problem. Given the choice of driving an Explorer or the Land Cruiser, the Land Cruiser wins.

Would it help the snow to slide off easily by itself and not stick on as much if you ceramic coat the radar and the front parking sensors....?
