panhard bar (track bar) or panhard bracket or both when doing a lift?

As the title says, what is the best method to address the rear trackball geometry when doing a lift of 2" or more?
Dobinsons and Icon as well as others sell a longer panhard bar, but I read in some other places that the bracket needs to be adjusted upwards to do this correctly. Why wouldn't the best manufacturers address the bracket if that were the case?

Interested in this well

I just installed the Dobinsons lift 3” front and about 2” rear with their track bar.

What you’re looking for is a level or near level track bar at ride height if it gets to far off of level then it will affect the axle centering under articulation.

I’d be Leary of a bracket that isn’t welded to the vehicle though as that’s all lateral pressure being put on the bolts (unless mounted front to rear) and the longer bracket as well. I don’t think there is room to raise the mount location on the shock mount side while maintaining the bar in parallel to the axle but didn’t pay close attention to that either and it’s not good to have the axle mount lowered to correct if needed as that should be on center with the axle ideally.

Also would need to know what the angle is with a stock setup as that’s the one thing I didn’t measure prior to install. I can tell you that visually I couldn’t notice a change in the angle so it can’t be much and length difference when properly adjusted was quite small (about the width of the bolt that bolts it in place on axle side)

I’m out of town ATM but can check mine when I get home next week if you want/need?

2” rear lifted——>Need: just panhard bracket to level out with oem track bar.
More than 2”——> need: both

My axle was no longer centered without the adjustable track bar the bracket won’t correct that.

Where is the bracket mounted I haven’t looked into it?

Edit: though about it more the bracket would also probably recenter the axle but no adjustability without the adjustable track bar if not aligned with bracket install.

Also my measurement difference was about 1/8” longer on the new track bar from stock.

Look at my attached photos.
My suspension kit + Dobinsons 2” lifted rear springs (170-330lb gear weight)+ panhard bracket. Installed by RPM Garage in SoCal. Run super sweet and bring me pleasure smiles in every single ride ;)

@t3lcfe can you see what angle your bar sits at now assuming that’s installed on yours and distance between bolt holes on the bracket?

Now I really wanna know what the stock angle was, definitely wasn’t perfectly horizontal maybe 2-3 degrees?

All attached photos are mine.
I believe that stock angle is not perfectly horizontal.
When 2” lifted…the bracket helps to bring the other end of track bar +_2” up.
Anyway, I just shared my real life experience with my setup. To me, it is “perfect” ;)
Without panhard, the problem can occur called “dog walk”
3” or more lifted…need longer track bar + bracket.

Your running factory track bar then with Dr. KDSS shorty bracket?

I’m gonna check my angle when I get home then check with it raised 2”.

Correct. OEM track bar + shorty bracket. Mine is 2” rear lifted.
You can get the “standard” bracket with 2 holes, then attach to lower hole if 2” lifted…or upper hole for 3” lifted.
Here is the website. Good luck, bro

As I understand it, an adjustable panhard bar helps to center the rear axle under the vehicle.

A panhard correction bracket helps to adjust the panhard bar so that it is horizontal at rest.
