Paddle shifters came on our Premium trim (much to my surprise), and I learned (accidentally) that US Market Land Cruisers weren't coming equipped that way through the forum.

Well ... after agonizing between a Defender and a Land Cruiser i made, what i hope to be, the smart choice and pulled the trigger ... or at least placed an order for a 2027 Land Cruiser in Trail Dust!
Although the Defender is a good looking vehicle with many exterior colours, interiors and options up the wazoo the LC won with lesser maintenance costs, superior reliability and a much gentler depreciation curve!
Now the waiting begins ... i am told likely 3 - 6 months but the dealer acknowledged that they don't really know.

As far as cost ... it breaks down as follows ... (Canadian dollars)
80,460 base
6,375 premium pkg
390 premium paint
595 doc fee
1930 destination / delivery fee
146 misc levies / fees
89,897 PRE-TAX TOTAL
4,495 5% goods & services tax
8,990 10% provincial (BC) sales tax (extra % charged on luxury vehicles)
103,381 GRAND TOTAL

At today's exchange rate this equals 63,531 + 9,530 (taxes) = $73,061 USD

As far as initial add-ons ... i plan on swapping the 20" wheels with TRD 18" and KO3's as well as ppf-ing the leading edge of the hood, the front bumper, the front of the fenders and the rear bumper loading area.

Admittedly, it is a fair chunk of change but it is a retirement gift to myself and i hope to have many memorable ... and trouble-free ... road trips in the future!

Hi, my name is Don A and I am in Vancouver, BC. I recently semi-retired and promised myself a nice new truck as a reward. The new Land Cruiser is my pick! To be honest I have held off on ordering a LC as I am hoping that they will introduce a new colour. At this time I think Trail Dust would be my choice.
