Intrusion detector relocated to above the rear view mirror using this 3d printed wedge and double-sided tape.

Tested and working just fine. Though some folks store their sunglasses there so this might not work for everyone.

Why couldn’t Toyota have done that?
I may wait until someone starts selling this wedge, i was planning on a lump of blue tack to hold it in same location myself. it bugs me being directly in my line of sight and to compound the issue the dammed Toyota garage put their service sticker at same level on other side of the screen, which i have to move after each service, even after asking them not too before the service.

I know, it’s really dumb in my opinion, maybe there is some serviceability thing? I cannot see why though.

One thing I will add is that I had it disconnected for a few months and it does log a communication DTC that it cannot communicate with the sensor.
