Trip computer must be broken, rolled over 2k miles today, still getting exactly 18.3mpg not sure if I've ever seen the claimed 22mpg city. Nothing extreme just daily driving.
Make sure your resetting the MPG on instrument cluster as well as your main infotainment screen after each refill.
I use premium 91 or 93
Sometimes I can see 23 sometimes 19- but if I get off roads with any inclines and drive very flat areas, I’ve seen 25, just not my norm due to higher speeds and topography.
Which leads me to my next point every time end my trip I shut my car off and I wait to see what mileage pops up on my recent trip info because my regular gas average might not say what my recent trip was. So I always sit there for an extra second to see what it says before getting out of my car. Obviously that part is on your instrument cluster that pops up.
I’ve got 8k on mine now, and I do think it’s got better over time.

I reset the fuel consumption and it jumped up to about 19.7 briefly but then my wife drove it for two days straight, went down to 18.3 back up to 18.6 now after 12 days from reset. I guess she just has a lead foot. 85% of our driving is city although there is a steep 1000' hill between here and her mom's house and the road going over it is 45-50mph. And yeah we're using whatever the highest grade premium is available here in California which is probably 91

Just did the 5k mile service
Fuel consumption is brutal 18.6mpg. It's a big suv so gas mileage isn't going to be great, but coupled with that thimble of a tank I think in 5k miles we've refilled it 25 times already. The guy at the gas station knows me by name now.
Whereas we rented a jeep Cherokee 4xe in Seattle, drove to Tacoma, then drove to whistler and back through Victoria. We only went through a single tank as it has 450 miles of range. That would have been three visits to the gas station in the LC
I'm really hoping Toyota releases a larger tank, or else when the warranty is done we're going to have to find an after market tank this is ridiculous range for a daily driver.
The other big complaint is "auto" mode doesn't seem to blow much air in the back, my toddler is regularly complaining about being hot for the first time. When you do get the fan up high the noise is deafening.
Hybrid system seems mostly useless, I would swap it for third row seating in a heartbeat. Originally we were looking at the gx550 but nobody had them in stock at the time. We may upgrade to the gx550 still for the third row and better interior

Don’t agree that the GX is an upgrade (interior or exterior looks) though I’d always prefer a naturally aspirated vehicle and if the FE LC had the Lexus engine that’s what I’d have. I think the Lexus styling is ugly AF and I hate all of the multi touch cluster controls versus knobs and switches

Rolled over the 10,000 mile mark
HVAC system everyone hates it, "auto" seems to either freeze or boil everyone. My daughter in the back seat is always complaining about the temperature. We live in a very very temperate climate, Northern California where it's 65-75. I don't know why this thing struggles so much to keep the indoor cabin comfortable when it's 70 outside. It's also ridiculously loud, like a car from the 70s or something. That HVAC fan can push a lot of air through those tiny tiny tubes and even smaller vents. I'm constantly listening to the WOOOOOOOOSSSHHHHHHUHHHHHHHH noise trying to blast luke warm "cold" air through the undersized tubes and vents. On quiet night drives the HVAC makes a squealing whistling sound as it leaks past... Something . Nobody has ever complained about being hot/cold in our other car
Gas mileage sucks. We have 10k miles and we're averaging 19.5 and when my wife gets in it goes down. I don't know where the hell they're getting 24mpg from lmfao. I heard the Aussie diesel version gets 30mpg real world. The hybrid does nothing, give me my third row seats, Toyota!!! You can't even use the 120v socket with the ev battery, the engine kicks on every 1-2 minutes
Wind noise is really high. We got our other car serviced and were using that, then got in the LC and the first question my wife had was "what's that noise?" Just normal wind and road noise, but way way louder
I really hate how the front power seats go back and forth on their own. We have a quick detachable car seat/stroller thing and I'm constantly fighting with it so it doesn't go back and smash into the car seat making it stuck. Remote start that's not tied to the app would be really nice. The memory seats only work in PARK. Usually I've just left the driveway when I realize it's stuck in my wife's setting. So I have to come to a complete stop, put it in park. Then find the button (it's a black button with dark silver paint, under a dark ledge) and wait for it to adjust, then put it back in drive. In my other car this button is back lit and works in drive while the car is moving.
Speaking of which, none of the buttons on my $80,000 SUV are backlit. I have to turn on the dome light and squint to find the seat memory button in the dark. Not to mention, the dome lights suck, they're totally inadequate especially for a car with black carpet. Even with the dome light on at night it's still darker inside than it is outside. At night. The dome light is actually worse somehow than the one in my mom's old 1994 Ford explorer
Much like a Lamborghini, the outside looks awesome and gets plenty of attention , but the lived experience on the inside is really terrible. The center console is way too wide and there's hardly any leg room, the knee cushions are mandatory but also woefully inadequate. At least the Lamborghini gets better than 19.5mpg.
Do I regret buying the land cruiser? ... Maybe? Hopefully it's at least reliable. I hate most everything about it. It's basically an ultra premium 4runner with jeep level interior and a pretty terrible family car. My 5 year old hates climbing in and out of the back seat, there's only one hand hold in the back seat, and it only works if you're at least 6' tall.
And I still hate how tiny the gas tank is. I might hate it less if I didn't spend 20 minutes of my life every week wrestling with the tank filler seal. It won't seal with the gas filler handle thing so the gas won't pump unless you hold it at a funny angle.

Oh yeah the brakes squeal ~50% of the time backing out of the driveway, and the running boards are both too small, and a genuine slip hazard when they're wet
Addressing the seat issue, I was unclear if the seat moving by it's self, was happening when you turn the vehicle off or when you are driving.......... If it's when you turn the vehicle off...... turn off/adjust the exit assist to your preference. At first I thought the exit assist was cool, but have since turned it off as it was smashing things stored in the rear floor board..... etc.
That looks fantastic! The stance is perfect too! How do you like those BFG's?

I love how the seat belt buckle is wider than the space between the seat and the B pillar. Always gets stuck, have a ton of scratches on that trim piece from normal use

Just lol every time i back out of any parking lot in my 1 year old $80,000 premium trim suv with barely 15,000 miles on it, the brakes squeal worse than my neighbors sons 1992 jeep cherokee
We are up to 19.5mpg, mysteriously jumped one whole mpg starting around the 10,000 mile mark
The seat belt mount on the bottom of the rear seats has an annoying tendency to rotate 180 degrees which adds a twist in the belt, or many twists over a couple weeks if you're unlucky. Not super annoying if you're an adult, but plugging a car seat in that uses the belt and expects zero twists, extremely annoying
I'm sure it will last forever but it really feels like the B team was responsible for design and quality control

Also, memory seats only work in "park" - LOL - usually i realize this about 8 seconds after leaving the driveway so i have to pull over, put it back in park, push the button, wait, then put it back in drive

Man, if had half as many complaints about a vehicle as you do with your LC it would be gone tomorrow! Life is too short to drive anything that doesn’t bring a smile to your face.

Get something that doesn’t upset you so much. I have absolutely NO idea what that might be.
Definitely not the vehicle for you. Time to do some research and capitalize on resale value for the Land Cruiser.
Ours is a parallel hybrid system. It is meant to boots HP, with only a mild improvement in fuel economy.
I routinely get 27-30 mpg (calculated at the pump) on the highway, on 100+ mile jaunts. It is possible. I use 93 octane ethanol free fuel, which is good for 10+ percent better mpg. My last tank average (fill up to fill up), calculated at the pump, was 27.5 mpg, which included some local driving. Prior tank average was 29.5 mpg. Miss Daisy’s DTE after fillup is hovering around 425 miles. There are two different MPG computers on the LC’s. Don’t get them confused.
Maybe change the way you drive.
