What model do you have?
You are going to be fine with +35. I have the 1958 which have a 1 inch narrower fender and the poke was too much for me . The extra inch would cover it nicelyI have a Base (LC)

The hub rings must be exactly sized to be useful. I did not find a source for the 106.25 to 95.1 mm hub rings that are needed. However, the Method wheels are lug-centric, not hub-centric. In other words, while I would've like to have the hub rings, they are unnecessary to run the wheels. You can have the rings made to order, but that's a bit more expensive.@uraniumrich and @LcAz did you go with the Method 106.25 to 95.25mm Hub Rings? I'm looking to order the wheel/tire combo thru an online vendor and by default they recommend/offer Gorilla Automotive 106 to 95.1mm Hub Rings. Not sure if I should go with the Gorilla's, order the Method's or order a custom set that's the exact difference between the 703's and the LC Hub (106.25 to 95).
Agreed, it’s not that the wheel manufacturers somehow forgot to make hub rings that are required for a correct fitment. They will offer lug nuts that center the wheels though. The hub rings must be exactly sized to be useful. I did not find a source for the 106.25 to 95.1 mm hub rings that are needed. I'm considering going with a set of Method 703 +35 offset wheels. I'm debating between those and something with a +40 or +45mm offset. If you have a set of Method wheels with a +35 offset and have a tire close in size to a 285/70R17 (11" wide), can you post photos of the amount of poke you're getting? (I'm looking to get just a slight amount of sidewall poke, without sending stripes down the side of the truck). Thanks!
Stock suspension?Installed yesterday.

I have a set of machined 703 with +35 offset coming in tomorrow. I ordered by calling method directly and they threw in a set of lug nuts free and they included a discount as well. Hoping to get them mounted and installed on the weekend. For tires, I am considering the Falken at4w 285/75r17 C load. I know it’s heavy, but I’ve had the at3ws before on my 05 v8 4Runner and loved them so I’m looking forwards to the at4ws.@uraniumrich and @LcAz did you go with the Method 106.25 to 95.25mm Hub Rings? It's a great tire. It is heavy that's for sure. The 285/70/18 C load AT4W is heavier than the same size tire in other brands that are E load. I heard a guy at the tire shop say that they put more into their sidewall then other manufacturers. Unfortunately… my tire shop couldn’t get the falkens =\. I made the call to go with the Toyo AT3 285/75r17 C load. Will get them mounted and installed tomorrow. It's a great tire. Post some pics. Would really love to see that set up.Unfortunately… my tire shop couldn’t get the falkens =\. I made the call to go with the Toyo AT3 285/75r17 C load. Will get them mounted and installed tomorrow.
Those are the 285/70s? Damn, must be the offset because that looks super burly. How do they tuck with articulation with that offset? Any hang up on fenders? That's a 65 lb. tire. Falkens are so heavy but damned if that doesn't look great.View attachment 36286
Method 316 Titanium 17x8 | 6x5.5 | 25/5.44" Tires are Falken AT4 285/70R17 C rated, which is a true 33" tire.
I literally just got back from getting them mounted, road force balanced, aligned(didn’t need it turns out specs were good), and installed. The angles are a bit skewed but it looks good imho. The factory rake is there still since it’s all stock suspension atm. The ride home was ever so slightly firmer than the 1958 stock wheels but feel more direct to the road and less spongey/springy. The tire pressure was a bit high at 40 psi and I had the old tires/wheels in the back so the ride dynamic will change since I let the pressure down to 34-35 psi. I checked to make sure that this was the “equivalent” load rating to the stock 1958 tires/pressure. I used the Toyo tire pressure charts to check this. Will report back after I get a few more miles on the ride quality since I let some air out. The tires are indeed a bit noisier than the geolandars but that was expected and I would actually say that, and I’m surprised to say this…, that the ride and overall power band has been improved and feels subjectively smoother. Fairly sure MPGs have taken a hit but I’ll have to do more driving and calculating to figure out what the damage is.Post some pics. Would really love to see that set up.

The offset is only 25. There wasn't a lot of wheel choice when the vehicle was first released. The poke is about an inch, which is about the offset. I'm fine with the look but I generally don't like "poke". There are no fitment issues. I have 1000s of miles at 80 mph and dozens of hours off pavement..Those are the 285/70s? Appreciate it! I’m glad that the look turned out good. I had so many crappy photoshop jobs where I was copy/pasting other people’s wheels/tiresI have to say bro, those machined wheels lookwith that color. Sweeeeet!
What are you going to do about spare?
I hear you about poke. I'm kind of a geek and like the factory looking wheels with off road tires; I am going to see if the 17"x7.5" 2024 Tacoma TRD OffRoad wheel works with the 34x10.5R17 "pizza cutters". The wheels are a +55 offset; stock FE wheel is +60 so about .2 inches wider than the stock size and I like the angular looks of the wheel, I think it will work with the lines of the LC.The offset is only 25. I'm glad I didn't go with 35" and the necessary lift. True 33" tires on 17" rims looks big and, to me, the right size for the vehicle. Trailrecon on youtube first went with 35 and then changed back to 33.
I also like the bright wheels in the post above, especially on a light colored vehicle. My first choice wasn't Underground, but I now embrace the gangster LC variant![]()
