Latch step

Has anyone used one of these things? I wonder if they will bend the steel on the B pillar or C pillar? I cannot even think of using the roof rack on Miss Daisy, and I am 6’1”. This device might make it possible.

I used a cheap version for a bit and it worked ver well.

I’ve changed my strategy to just standing on the tire - not sure if that’s advised or not…

While the roof racks looks nice (cool), I would never use it. I'm way too lazy for all that up and down.

Me too. But it would allow the use of a Yakima rocket box up there..

Same here, i use the roof rack regularly - there's 4 tiers of elevation

1. Running boards
2. Back seat floor area
3. Back seat mini step area
4. Rear tire

I setup the cargo box as far back as I can, so the rear tire is pretty useful as the highest step!

I've never used one, but my neighbor did for a bit.......while it didn't bend anything to the naked eye, the paint started to develop stress cracks ............. probably might be ok for an occasional use, If it started to develop stress signs........ I'd stop using it. It was the reason I made my tire step.

Guess that rules out using this on Miss Daisy.
