I’ve had enough - goodbye Land Cruiser

I bought my new one, fully loaded, for 72K last week. You can get a new GX 550 for $83K. Then you want someone to buy if it's been at the Dealer on and off this last year for problems. The dealer can't install a glasses pop down space if there isn't a space for them. The squeeling brakes, find another mechanic to fix the problem if that dealer can't.

Am I being to harsh? Need to throttle back some?
Welcome to the asylum.

I can’t bare with the reliability issues anymore. Between the squealing brakes and the missing sunglasses holder, I just can’t count on the Land Cruiser to get me to the kids soccer practice reliably. It’s been a miserable year of ownership, and I’ve had enough.

My POS will be listed in the marketplace soon (asking $83k to account for what I’ve spend on spacers, 3D printed accessories, and other long-term investment mods - I know what I’ve got so no low ballers) as soon as I decide what vehicle will replace it. Currently deciding between a Grand Wagoneer, Kia Telluride, or BMW 8-series.

Goodbye forever
Dealers are now low balling on trades or sells… crazy out there!!! Private party is definitely route to go…. I never seen a toyota get such low offers

All those listed are worst.

There are literally dozens of us. Besides, I heard a nasty rumor that the Land Cruiser isn’t even actually a Toyota, rather it is a spin-off product from fashion company Prada, just with fake Toyota badging. Let’s start a class action for fraud!
I’m assuming you’re joking…..

I was going to put out a standing offer to allow anyone to drop off unwanted 2024+ Land Cruisers no questions asked…until the business agent reminded me we only have parking for one. She’s just tough that way 😔

Since Basic’s business agent has shut down his selfless operation, I will stand in as the unwanted Land Cruiser drop off station.

Since I wear sunglasses constantly. Shocked that my windshield display is not brighter.
Agree strongly with the OP these issues are insurmountable. Shame on Toyota...

Assuming you dont know, is the polarized lenses in your sunglasses that hide the display. Display is a reflection, which polarized lenses filter out.

Enough already, can't you guys see this was an April's fools joke that has long outlived its usefulness and certainly it's funniness...

My 2024 1958 edition has been the best vehicle I've ever owned at a bargain price of 52K, which was 5k under msrp. I have had no issues with mine whatsoever. Good luck to you and your KIA.

I love my polarized lenses. It does sadden me a little that the polarization renders the heads up display practically invisible. If you rotate your head so one eye is above the other the display is once again visible, but driving that way is a little hard on the neck and the darn sensor on the steering column thinks your eyes aren't on the road ;)

My Land Cruiser just stranded me without warning or apparent cause with a hybrid system failure in rural Michigan about 16 hours ago. Toyota Recovery and the contracted services they use have ample room for improvement. I am now sitting in the service waiting room to see if they can look at it- servicing doesn't give priority to my vehicle's failure. Btw, it has less than 8500 miles on it. The good news is that next week I was actually going to a long way and then go deep overlanding. I don't trust this vehicle to do that now, I'd rather take my 29 year old Gen 3. I do hope this gets resolved well as my confidence in Toyota had been seriously shaken

There are polarization rotating laminates out there. I’ve worked with them in the defense industry. Not sure how available they are to the private consumer, but they shift the output 90 degrees.

Edmund Optics?

Edmund Optics?
Maybe? I’m big on separating work from life, so I’ve never explored the consumer applications without a need arising. I think the only exception for me has been large gage shrink tubing, since scrap was basically thrown away with endless uses in my home life.

Oh yeah, and retired pelican cases… I definitely brought those home lol
