Is it safe to go through car wash?

2025 LC
I was thinking about taking my 2025 LC 250 to the touchless car wash. Besides turning off automatic windshield wipers and folding in mirrors. Do I have to do anything else? Like disable safety features prior to going?

I go through one about every week then dry it myself at a random stall (it’s a gas station). It does go off randomly sometimes but never enough to annoy you to turn it off.

Wash away!

I have a touchless membership that made too much sense. While I would love to spend the time to wash the car every week. I just don’t have the time.

The initial rinse is typically a high alkaline mixture that allows “most” contaminants to be washed off with the high pressure. Neither base nor acidic mixtures are good for the clear coat and will “dull” the finish over time. It’s a relatively easy fix with paint correction either by yourself or by a paid professional.

I go through the touches car wash weekly with no issues of concern. Yes, you need to turn off the automatic windshield wipers, but I don't fold in the mirror. Great way to keep the vehicle beautiful. I wipe any remaining water to prevent spotting on the windows.

Beware of the high pressure on the roof if you have a SUNROOF.
Mine leaked the other day (only minor leaks). Leave your hoodlining cover open so any leaks can be seen and wiped down.

Are you speaking of a brushless wash? Ours, a dealership courtesy, uses low pressure, but flailing rollers, which can also be a risk if following a mud-encrusted vehicle. Zero issues to date...

Your sunroof shouldn’t leak. Make sure it is fully closed and there is no debris around the seal. If it still leaks I would bring it to the attention of the dealer. It will only get worse.
